@SasukeYusuke Europe invented the metal, so it's no surprising that the EU has better/more metal acts than the US. Ghost Brigade, Omnium Gatherum, Insomnium, Profane Omen, Mygrain, Nicole, Pain Confessor, Survivors Zero, and Fear of Domination are all excellent bands from Finland. From Sweden: The Haunted, In Flames, At The Gates, Scar Symmetry, Arch Enemy etc. And those were only Finland and Sweden. Granted, Finland and Sweden are the home of MDM but still...all the bands above are excellent.

But of course, Europe has alot of melodic metal(and other genres) and America has "classic" thrash and death metal, for example. Each with his own, both are good in my opinion.

Later on it went to the States as well, and the two continents started to develop metal into different directions, ultimately leading to trash in America and melodic death metal in Europe.

In Fact the bjöirler brothers (or however you prnounce it) came from the band At The Gates to The Haunted. At The Gates is one of the fathers of the melodic death metal genre. The brought a huge influence in the haunted. In the marku aro days they reminded me more of "death metal" . others say they are post thrash metal (not really :S). But the term that fits this music the most is Frrrreaky good music or The Haunted

Dolving has some powerful emotion in his voice, which makes his music really intense. On the other hand, Marco seems to be more suited for the band with his scream that makes you want to crap yourself. It's a tough call, but I personally think Dolving is better just because he sings more and a bit better.

Yeah, Marco was better, but Dolving also has some skill. He's got a powerful stage presence, and he was the original vocalist. It's good when a band has a good chemistry and their original lineup definitely had an unbreakable bond.
