  • Nice riding, I'm glad I no longer have to ride into London each day past all those parked wide vehicles with the morons sat in them.

  • Try riding one of these in Paris, I did, it wasn't fun.

  • the vid response wasnt sped up :)

  • nice ride, you drive like you were from Venezuela.

  • Wow even in L.A. we don't ride like that. Crazy insane. I give you brits a little respect for being that daring. California drivers would have put you int a wall or another car.

  • A few times there you were wishing for something narrower.

  • you ride like a maniac.

  • Brilliant video, I'm almost 15 I will be getting a Suzuki Burgman 650 Exec. as my first two wheel vehicle when i get my Motorcycle L's. They are by far my favourite, along with the V-Strom 650, but I heard they are rather difficult for beginner riders. The naked Suzuki GS 500 is also a nice bike.

It will be a year until I get my Motorcycle L's though.

But yeah, the Burgmans are excellent, they're even better in person, by far the most comfy bike, good size for my height too (5'10).

  • nice vid and riding ...... i just bought me a new 2009 650 burgman in pearl white. great bikes. happy riding.

  • spotted 2 driver who deliberatly braked on you to stop you getting through as for that last comment about licence what a cock car driver i ride for blood transfusion with a adi class one shut yr mouth car driver and try looking remember brain in gear then mouth in motion it,s called conceptualise plan communicate

  • hell yeah, i get cagers stopping/braking to block me everyday! I even get some idiots who drive towards me... Jelaousy, my friend, is a very poisonous feeling :)

By the way, the sound is very good on your vid, i'm guessing the camera was inside your helmet right next to your mouth :) Over 1.3 mil miles mate! That's what i call proper experience!!!

As for the negative commenters, i'm fed up answering non-constructive comments, so i'll let him be...

  • you got a givi screen and top box on that scoot 2 great storage great carrying capacity testing in a t -max sat for a magazine

  • hopefully you will loss your licence before you kill yourself or worse some else. i relise its double speed but i saw enough bad/illegal manouvers for you to get a ban.

  • This may seem like a very stupid question to you, but do they ever consider adding lanes to the roads to help with the traffic? I suppose that maybe there isn't enough room to widen the streets there? Just wondering.

  • yep thats a stupid question alright

  • Thanks for posting. Do all the bikers in London split the lanes and come within inches of cars? I'd have taco pants by the time I got to the office. Not to mention it's illegal in the states where I live. However, if that's common practice in London, maybe people are used to it and watch out for bikers. I've definitely never seen anything like this before.

  • Yes, it is quite common and also legal to filter through traffic in between lanes as long as it's safe to do so. Recently it's also become legal to ride on the bus lanes in London, so it's a lot more comfortable to commute in the city traffic

  • you definetly a car driver (ive never seen anything like it before) get in car open eyes turn key drive your,s from manchester,s 1.5 million mile motorcyclist (it,s called roadcraft )

  • you will wait for mr breeze to ride through traffic

  • It a pity your brain is not in gear, but then I suppose having an auto bike makes up for it. Only idiots overtake on double white lines and morons on zig-zags of a crossing. You need taking off the road before you kill / maim someone because you give genuine bikers a bad name.

  • hehe i'd like to see you try "taking me off the road" with your power ranger costume and your "geared bike", but oh! i just remembered, you only ride during summers and spend your wintry months polishing your "genuine" bike, don't you.

It's obvious you never commute into London, otherwise you'd easily spot me as the rather careful rider amongst other crazy power rangers and couriers.

  • Some years ago I saw young girl hit on a crossing by someone like you who overtook in such places. She lost a portion of her right hand and will suffer for life. Like it of not it is ill advised to overtake in the zig-zag area london area or not but if you want to challenge someone to take you out, I suggest you take more care because I suspect someone will.

  • Here, it wasn't that hard to leave a sensible comment, was it? Now you make more sense. I know risks are much higher when biking than driving cars. Don't forget the video is actually doubled in speed, and the actual speeds on risky places are much less than you think. I'm not crazy to challenge anyone to take me out, and i believe i'm doing my best to ride around careful enough. I was actually replying to your original comment about need taking off the road.

  • Comments taken. I see your point of view just as you see mine.

Regarding the video I should add, I found the footage very interesting indeed, inc choice of music. I found it fascinating being able to see your bike negotiate heavy traffic on a wonderful day with blue sky and sun. I am of the geared clan but not a fair weather rider. I looked at your video because I am considering the smaller 400cc model.

Take care and try to observe some rules, better to be here today than gone tomorrow. :-)

  • Good to hear you liked it. I can't recommend the bike enough. It meets all my needs and more. Once you get used to the bulk of it, you won't have any problems filtering through the tightest of spaces. My only niggle is the weight which is around quarter of a tonne. The 650cc has tiptronic gearbox if you like changing gears from time to time, but you would find no need to do so once you get used to auto. Weather protection and storage space are legendary.

  • hi stw ive just bought a 07 plate 400 burgman you will be very dissapointed if you are going to compare it to the 650 burgman i will be doing a vid in three week i won,t be speeding it up but make sure you clock the angles i get the burgman 650 over to i actually slide it round corners and here,s a tip for the 650 burgman riders who do the lean get some bt o14 let the front tyre down to 24psi

  • how much longer does the route take in a car? some of those queues were pretty long.

If i had to ride that agressivly regularly, i'd probably stop riding and it wouldent be as much fun (not for me anyway), i don't mind a bit of filtering but it looked like you was being born again in some of those tight squezes lol

  • Well, i never took that route by car because there's a congestion charge of £8/day plus parking is quite expensive in central london. My guess is that it would take at least 1:30hrs.

Don't forget that the video is running double the speed, so my driving was not that crazy as it looks. Real time journey took around 30 minutes for 13 miles, so an average of 26mph.

  • 47 minute up to 1 hour 20 mins

  • Those bus lanes are handy! xD

  • You cant use the crossed intersection as your personal lane -- it is illegal to ovetake in them.

  • hi stw ive just bought a 07 plate 400 burgman you will be very dissapointed if you are going to compare it to the 650 burgman i will be doing a vid in three week i won,t be speeding it up but make sure you clock the angles i get the burgman 650 over to i actually slide it round corners and here,s a tip for the 650 burgman riders who do the lean get some bt o14 let the front tyre down to 24psi then tip it round corners (not in the wet) you

  • Let me know when you post it ?

  • Stuff that! I'll stick to my country bumkin roads! lol
