I disagree. Man's inherent nature is to cause his own destruction, typically for something that he believes in.

By indicating that the absence of religion would better the world, you assume that man wouldn't believe in something else just as strongly that would inevitably cause the same scenario of where we are today. There would just be some other conflict to deal with without belief in deities.

I don't believe in god and I don't believe in a big bang causing everything to exist either to me both assumptions don't weigh in well relative to observation. Islam is the closest thing to a possible truth yet it seems to omni like and I prefer a lot of ideas from American Indians, Some Hinduism and some Chinese and Japanese concepts.

On a consensus being asked what my perception of reality is in terms of belief I find it hard to comment let alone have a name for my view.
