I hope you stay strong and keep faith I had gotten SNJ 2 years ago not as strong as you but enough to change my life forever I now have four skin disotders and in pain most of the time , I do understand by seeing you I felt better that I was no the only one , you have helped me be stronger .
You're so special. :) My mother is really suicidal and depressed because she's got some really really horrible and complex and rare medical condition. But I showed her this video and I was all like "You sit around being mopey, but look at her? She's strong. :]" and now she's a lot better.
hello, what happened was i had a adverse reaction to ibuprofen. i lost 85%-90% of my skin, and other major complications. the condition is called steven johnson syndrome.
@spunkyrachel Dang :/ that sucks. I think you still look good. you are still the beautiful woman you were before! I have a few questions though. Will your skin color come back? Was there any physical pain while you were expireincing your reaction to the medicine?
Glad to hear you can see some pigment and hair is growing back. My surgeon has us taking creatine which is supposted to help with not losing muscle and helps with brain function...Not to sure it helps much though lately I feel really stupid in the head...don't know if it's just my age though...but I am still taking it?? I am glad you posted an update I think of you often...;)
I can really understand being "pissed off" I felt that way toward skinny people LOL...I was afraid I was going to be very bitchy toward thin people after I lost my weight, but it didn't turn out that way. I had a small bout of depression at the Millennium(end of the world LOL) and was on Prozac for 12 weeks. I worship the person who invented that stuff it was great. my daughter was on Lexapro for a short bout also it gave her some muscle ticks she was low on magnesium and that fixed it.
hi rose! i must say you look great!! thank you for your insight. i have been on meds before for anxiety. i have to agree with you they are great!! i look forward to my appointment with my doctor so he can prescribe something. its bad enough that i don't look normal, but its makes it worse when you don't feel normal. so this is going to be a good thing. take care rose!
So happy you made a new video. You've made tons of progress and you will continue to do so. Prayers are amazing!
Emotional ups and downs come with the territory when you are faced with any medical condition...as I soon learned after my diagnosis. Allow yourself time to heal and don't be so hard on yourself.
You have been thru soooo much, I think having these emotions is normal. Getting meds will probably be a good thing at this time for you. I can see the progress your body/skin is making and I hope you can find it in your heart to be kind and patient with yourself. Take care! Oh, and don't forget to change the batteries in your smoke detectors ;) ~ peace
@spunkyrachel have you comepletely recovered yet? i hope you have. This disease is something that i trully think you and everyone else (myself included) should never have to deal with again. please feel better and if anything else happens feel free to tell me, i like talking with people to make them feel better.
thank you for your encouragement, it is greatly appreciated. how is the child that you were caring for that had SJS? i hope everything worked out for him and his family.
