What remains to be seen, is 10laps around the Ring in a Porsche with a Twin Turbo 454 cu V8 in it instead. Now that combo of US power and EU aero+technique would be a fun experiment, cause I think its better built there than the ZR1 is, which I think has the better engine.

How does the ZR1 fare in longevity tests?..is it stable over 1000 miles fx?

You have to hear that enzo sound live and then say okay heres my million I want it or you just want the fastest car in the world und you give your million for a bugatti. I think you can find those american big block like motors for example in the amg63 series. 6.2 liter engine with nothing but technic around it ;)

@490Dodesheide The Mercs use longevity german engines with 600 hp max. I meant those 1200hp US engines and then plugging that into the roadhugging Porsche GT package. Im pretty sure Porsche is at least as good as a ZR1 in aero/grip/susp, and should be better as centerengined and more expensive parts inside. If only we could have bigger, more violent engines in the euro supercars...and smaller price tags by making more of them :)

Not true... The New Z06 did away with leaf springs. Dodge did away with leaf springs on their friggin Ram 1500 this year. In the end it all comes down to what you like. I got to drive my Boss's 2007 Z06, and it is amazing and I couldn't even begin to push it to it's limits. I just can't believe that it had leafs on it. It is a very harsh ride. I shouldn't have said "Stupid" Vette... I like the Corvette. It just seems like it would be a better car with coils.  Thats all I meant by it. I am glad the new ones no longer have leafs.
