the worlds BEST BASS DRUM PERIOD....I THREW A PILLOW IN IT...AND ALMOST DIED WEN I HEARD IT....A M A Z I N G...THE SNARE IS AWESOME... TEH TOMS ARE GOOD, NEEDS NEW HEADS THEN THE STOCK...I LIKE THE EVAN EC2'S....OVERALL GREAT KIT!!!!!!!!!!!! GET IT
You dont throw pillows in bass drums you loose the beef of the sound!!!... if you dont want it to ring like a symphony bass drum put a thicker coated skin on the resonant and tune it perfect forth from the batter!
@TheREDnick I personally like shoving a sheet in the bass and just folding it. Then place it along the bottom so that its just barely touching the batter head. I like the sound personally.
on the contrary i dont really like the bass drum. the size is 22x20 yes? good size. but the sound is too high and poppy. i like a little deeper sound. maybe new(or different) heads would do it justice but i dunno. =D im sure its a great set though.
22x20 isnt THAT big.try 26x24 is massive haha. but 22x20 is my preffered size. its the biggest id go. yeah i bet with some powerstroke 2 heards a pillow some holez and a kick pad itd sound alot better.
i was gonna get this kit cause the bass drum and the snare are amazing. but the toms made me think twice. maybe guitar center didn't tune them well, but they just sounded loose and crappy. not a good full sound. what do you think of them?
@123Baggies You text a lot don't you? Just once, I'd like to see "Jersey Shore Generation" kids like you actually use real grammar & spelling. Not type stuff out like their texting their friends at some frat party.

the bass drum is massive, but the stock head SUCKS! with a new head, and some dampening, it sounds amazing

robbyface 3 years ago
nice man, i just got this kit and its great, you should get some aquarian studio rings they make the set sound amazing, but keep it up dude
RIPbeebee89OH 3 years ago
the bass drum was definitely the selling point for me :D
however, i disagree with the snare part...

wat do u fink of the kit man, i was thinking of getting one of these in the red with black stripe, wat cymbals do u use also
123Baggies 3 years ago
dude i like the kit alot its got a nice sound when tuned right, i would suggest getting remos just like i would suggest that for most any other drums
i'm using paiste hi hat cymbals and zildjian crashes
but the ride im using is actually an old ride i had from my old set its a tama
