@NilsDorigoni It's a 1991 GSX-R1100 with a ZX-7R front end, full Yoshi system, Stage 3 carb work and K&N stage 3 pods (as well as a shedload of other mods)
Here are some pictures. You'll have to forgive the popping, it was running lean at the time! And it didn't stall halfway through the video, I used two sound recordings!
@roninsoul yeah , didnt you saw all the other extras they sent out , they been anouncing them for at least a year and a half, its basicly the holy grail,
several testers and people that are go pro sponsors, are using them for a while , just like all the other extras they sent since last year
go pro has a wireless rf in it , basicly you put the mic and you can go to at least 30 meters from the camera and it records everything , i just want that litle extra
@falapedro This was just windows live movie maker to test the theory. The theory is sound, so now I just need a piece of video editing software that's of a better quality, that'll deal with the .mov files from the GoPro.
I have made myself a stereo mic out of an old set of headphones for separate audio recording and my test vid is on Youtube.
Before I fired up the bike I just clapped my hands twice in view of the camera, and then replaced the video's original audio track with the externally recorded one using GarageBand '09, using the claps for sync. This method would work no matter where the camera is pointing, as long as you can get your hands in front of the camera. :)
Thanks for post - I was trying to find info about the audio, but none explained the gopro's performance. I did tests with the waterproof and non-waterproof backing, and both were no good, despite many saying the non-waterproof offered better audio.
Video like this really helps. To perhaps better sync the video with audio, blow your bike horn, and that'll give you a reference point when later editing.
@PorkerTinker Cheers for the feedback, at least I know it wasn't me doing something wrong! I guess we asked a lot of a little camera, espacially strapping it to one of the windiest places I can think of!
I tend to try and sync the audio by looking for gear shifts, as I can see when the clutch is pulled in. When I eventually mount it to the top yoke, I'll use the rev counter. God know's what I'll do when I mount it facing rearwards!
Oh and this was filmed with the open backed case :)
hi mate, my mrs has just got me a HD Hero2 for xmas, do this mic require another power source, or can you just plug straight into the 3.5mm input ?
cheers

@chris25119600 The decent sound in this video is simply a dictaphone strapped to the inside of the fairing, just under the screen.
It's a USB dictaphone, so I can pull the wma files from it and then add it to the video afterwards.

@roninsoul Wow, are they actually planning that? How will the adapter fit in my case, or will I need a new one?

@PrivateCustard One easy way to sync is to just clap before you start to drive. Gives you a good audible and visual point.
