I guess the two wires have different departing and arriving altitudes. Say for example if you go to one way, you descend. If you want to go back, you need to climb up to the other wire's starting location.

If you are standing in the valley, one wire goes from high left to low right, while the other one high right to low left.

Hope that makes sense.
