@buyerofsorts i wouldn't say he's a blowhard, but he's very intense and is a tunnel-vision kind of guy. he's not very easy going. as far as there being no terrorists, yeah, the iraq war was stupid overall, but it was/is still incredibly dangerous to be there for a marine. so he's obviously not a pussy, regardless of the reasons for the war.

Find some educated, clean cut, son of a military man, decorated Marine to fight in the Octagon. Its good business. Look at the crappy British, Mexican, and Asian fighters they try to market. Cain was a huge PR campaign for Mexicans, Dong Hyun Kim, Besping, Hardy, Okami, etc. You can see it a mile away.

@buyerofsorts As for freedom no you are right but the U.S. military is used to protect U.S. intetests. If look at the History of U.S. military action it usually involves protecting vital trade. Western Europe our biggest trading partner has U.S. military bases. Japan, S. Korea has U.S. military bases. Fighting for freedom sounds glamorous while fighting to maintain trade or resources even though a necessity just sounds dull and selfish.

You can look at operation "Just Cause" the Panama canal. The reason for the war? Noriega was importing drugs to the U.S. Noriega threatened the panama canal that we built in 1914. The canal is important for trade. A lot of Latin America "import" drugs to the U.S. common sense approach here.
