Im 25 and very small. All I have worn since I was 17 are full fashion stockings. There are a lot of places to still by authentic stockings of the 30's--50's online at very reasonable prices...no pantyhose for this girl! I prefer full fashion stockings and garter belt thank you!

LadySierra, speaking for a lot of guys, we thank you and your sisters who feel the same way. Baggy sweats and flip flops say "I don't care". I have a niece in her early 20s who doesn't own a single pair of shoes other than flip flops, and she dresses like a hippie.

I am a 20 year old female living in tennessee and i find that I am one of few women that dresses up anymore! I wear pantyhose, dresses, hats and slips...I am appalled that some women don't have the decency to put on a slip!!! oh how I wish I lived in the 40's

To further my comment, it's no wonder that so many men need Viagra today! How I long for yesterday when the women wore sexy clothes and shoes. I HATE most of what I see in young women today. Thank God the salvation has been quite a few seem to like to wear sexy flats dress shoes, showing at least a little class. It's months now between sightings of beautiful young ladies wearing high heeled dress shoes and nylons! And I'm talking about in Portland, OR, which used to be a mecca for dressy ladies!

I agree with many of the comments here. Women (and men) used to dress with class. I grew up in the 50's and 60's and even into the 70's and 80's, women dressed up! Go to the airport - women in heels, hose and dresses. Go downtown - women in heels, hose and dresses. Go to the library, experience the same. Not much anymore. When I do see it, I'm totally smitten by the women who wear nice clothes! A steady diet of sloppy jeans, flip flops, Ugghs, and hidden femininity does nothing for the libido.

so right you are....im 36 and i can look back 20 years ago and all woman wore stockings...they tried to look pretty....and things have gone so wrong since..most girls in thier 20s cant even walk in high heels..seems everygirl now is a jeans and t shirt girl and i hate it..do i expect a girl in stockings 24/7? No but good lord woman dress more like men now than ever and i dont find it attractive whats so ever.

The sad thing is, momakajanei, that you appear to be in a very small minority. In my youth & young adult days (50s/60s) what you say was second nature to girls, indeed to women of virtually any age. In a way I feel glad that my youth belonged to those days and not to the present time!

What happened to western women? Styles changed throughout the ages but they had class, grace and a little glamour...now it seems to be all but gone.

well i wear suits and ties and i love it..its like wearing armour..but as i said about..woamn dress like men now..in the 90s casual friday happend and now all things are casual..i dont think woman look very attractive anymore..i grew up in and around a dance studio thats where my leg passion came from...it just makes me sad that this is the norm now and is accepted..u got stacey london putting stockings down when her legs could really use a pair to smooth them out so the dont look so ashy:P

I'm old enough to remember when you went into a store and this flat box with the foot size stamped on the end was brought out and placed on the counter. The saleswoman would reach inside one of the stockings and draw her fingernails through it. There were no racks etc. Just this little drama with the flat little boxes.
