Fuller Park (Sub_American Productions)

I live near Athens (Canton) and this is the first of this. My older sister played golf in high school and when she had some tournaments at the Athens country club, and for some reason when she played there that boat house thing creeped me out always! I don't know why but it did.

Is it true Fuller's Park is being demolished? A friend that lives in Athens told me that they were.

then about 4 years later, his sister in laws went out there.they came back and picked him up to go to wal-mart.one of them touched him in the store..everyone witnessed the burn marks coming up.he's had these come up a few times.usually he'll get mad suddenly for no reason then they'll show up a few minutes later ...

hi juston i grew up in cross roads tx and lived in athens tx as well. i also attended TVCC in athens. Are you including the old hospital in the documentary. When i attended tvcc i was the sports editor on the news journal. 2005-2007 i tried to write an articcle o the phenomenoms around town and contact a local JP in the county i recorded the conversations for a speech i was writing too he told me alot of weird and interesting things then cut me off when i mentioned i knew where the tunnels were.

Justin, I really appreciate you doing this documentary on the history of Athens. I myself have done a fair bit of research into the history of this town. I have lived in Athens for 7 years now, and have learned alot about it in that time. I know many of the tunnel entrances, and have visited almost all of the condemned structures you speak of. i live in athens.,., you should incorporate the rumors... the actual ones., into the video., thats the significance., its rumored that athens in centered and has a tuneling sewage type system that is in the shape of a pentagram... and that thens is a very highly spiritual place., rumored as in for satanism., the table near the end., is rumored to have been a sacrificial altar... while the stage was a stage., satanic preists were only alowed upon it while followers sat around... its also rumored.

my fiance finally showed me where fuller park is. right across from the hospital. and i didnt know that there were houses right by it. he wanted to take me to the old country club,but couldnt remember how to get there.i'd like to go back to fuller park and see the rest of it,like the graves and monkey cages. the places is even creepy on the outside during the day

I have seen what they called on of the main points to the pentagram which was acutually an old farmers sun dial. The stuff in the park is just kids playing on peoples imagination. With all the legends you would think there would be some real evidence. Your filmwork editing is neat but the story is a dead end.

I know exactly how you feel. I grew up near Athens (Tool) ... When I first started researching the history of Athens, TX and the high concentration of urban legends I to was put off by the immediate lack of SOLID FACT. However, I kept looking and found that the facts are out there. It's almost as if the truth is a shy child. Only after you have proved that you mean no harm and that your intentions are selfless does the truth come to you. People know more than you think...

Hate to burst your bubble, but you need to know this about the rock structure at the old country club. It was build during the Great Depression by the WPA. I think it was part of the club that burned down some time ago. My granparents were members there in the 70's.

No worries my friend, my bubble remains un-busted :) I've done a considerable amount of research on the structures found at the Athens Country Club. There is allot more to the story. We knew going into this thing that most of the urban legends would be slightly off, due to people making up stories to make their own life a bit more interesting. That said, the Country Club still holds a huge amount of significance in the puzzle! WE HAVE PROOF!! Can't wait to show you!!!

Cool! I'm actually excited about it. I've always heard there were all kinds of weird things in Athens. Tunnels in the shape of a pentagram, with entrances all over town. Have you checked out Thunder Bridge?? I've always been too freaked out to go exploring the area myself. I'd be glad to share with you all I know or have heard about the myths and legends surrounding the town.

yea man u shoukd have got into the heart of fullers park like the cages and the graves the benches i mean it has a bunch of grafffiti but if u are going to do a documentary of fullars park then u should tell all the story of the park talk about mister and mrs fuller the vid was good but u really should have done the more better part of fullers par the cages the railroad the tunnlels the gate ect ect

We're not filming a documentary over Fuller Park. We use Fuller Park in the production videos because that's what people want to see. Our documentary is over the dark history of Athens, TX. As for the Cages... I forgot to add'em. The Cages are in the second video though!
