for the people who are thinking its not 1/5 its 1/25..... you mustve had trouble in math class as a kid =P its 1/5 because theres 5 buttons =.= the combination does not matter because either side can be the controling factor and the other the reactionary since they just need to match. thats how you get 1/5th...
@insaneguy123 No, it's a 1/25 chance that they would both choose they same specified thing. For instance it was a 1/25 chance that they would both choose number 1. However the chance that they would both choose the same, unspecified thing is 1/5. i.e both choose 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5.
The confusion is that in the first instance a positive outcome represents 1 of 25 possible outcomes. In the second instance a positive outcome represents 5 of the 25 possible outcomes.
@assiost Oh, come now... you really want to argue the details at that point? It's a little showmanship... stretching the truth. He's an illusionist and mentalist. It's all about making it seem more magical than it is. ;)
The trick is to isolate the variables, why do you think he remains blindfolded until they are ready to look at the item, and blinded for so long? Did you also notice the time of day? In the evening when the sky is darkening. When your eyes are closed they relax and your pupils open to their maximum, when you open your eyes for that "15 seconds" you effectively score the image into your retinas. This is just my opinion of course.
@Hannibal68Cannibal The clear plastic overlay, especially at dusk and with a sheet of white paper behind it, is quite reflective. That's why the completed image is a mirror image. He just traced the image from the reflection.
I think I know how he made both choose the blue bulb the last time. Before they push a button, he briefly touches their hands (the hand lieing between n°1 and 2). For one reason or another that made them want to move that hand. And since n°1 had already been pressed before, n°2 seems like the logical choice....
People only remember autistic people by the savants. If only they knew how many thousands of normal siblings like me who have had their lives fucked up and destroyed.
@310BPM Oh you sound like an expert. Where should I start Mr. Not just running his fucking mouth on youtube? Should I start at the part were he tries to kill me or attempts to kill other people? Should I start at the part were he made the 5 years of life a hell for me before I even got there because I was related to me? Shall I start with all the people who teamed up and beat me up when I was only a year 8, because of him? Shall I start were his annoyance is so strong it has put me on the...
@310BPM The knife oh s many times? Should I mention how all his problems he blames on me and violently tantrums as he tries to hit me (which was only a problem when I was like 10 and he was 14). He's 'borderline schizophrenic" But he's not a 'retard', he knows what he's doing. Us clinically normal siblings. It's not OUR fault. We have to live with this world that fucks our life up uncontrollably and there's nothing we can do about it.
I wish I could kill you so you could feel my pain.
@310BPM Should I mention that he laughs at other autistic people 'severely' autistic people (to their face sometimes) and pretends and violently deny's his autism? Should I mention the time were I got a death threat on Youtube? I don't really care about the crap I get because the world hates me and there's nothing I could do to stop it. This Youtube channel owner sent me a private message filled with oh so much hate, yet, I was used to getting treatment like that......
@310BPM This person blocked me from commenting and sending private messages. I didn't even know why, all I wanted to do was ask why they would say something like that and why me when I hadn't ever looked at their channel. It took me a few days to figure out my 19 year old brother had hacked my account and sent constant hate messages about her and her videos on her developing autistic son.
Surely that's MY fault. There's no way I can blame it on my brother.
He used the plastic as a mirror, that is why it is a mirror image. He didnt use his eyes, just said for him to look at the building so he would be distracted and not notice what derren brown was doing.
notice he is drawing on a transparent surface, which is reflektive.
Notice how his picture matches a mirrored version of what is behind him, so if he stands still (which he know he is, because he got a frame of reference) and he just traces lines to the slight reflection off the building.
Everything else is just showmanship to divert attention from the actual trick
In the last trick he touched them both on the same side of the table and then you can see how he shows 2 with his right hand on the table at 8:43 so thats why they picked 2 :) I think...

No he's wrong. For the first time for 2 people to choose the same thing, it is 1/5 ^ 2 chances of getting it the same which is 1/25 chances.

That was a very clear button push pattern. Go at one end, then the other, then the furthest one on the other side that hasn't already been pressed.

Hmm anyone else notice that at 4:41 when Derren showed the guy.. It is a mirror image (reflected horizontally) of the building..
Two conclusions come to mind, either:
1) The board he was using has a reflection of the building behind him
2) Like someone said before, he's looking at the bulding in the reflection of the guy's eyes.

@539forgotten
and why would you call your self "normal"?
what does that make your sibling? "abnormal"?
autistic people aren't abnormal and they don't exist just to make you miserable.
you should love your sibling, because i'm sure they're a smart, clever, lovely person.
