I have one of these guitars, and they do sound good!! Nice job on the tone man. That rig you have sounds great, and I like the fact that it's CLEAN! That's the thing that everyone messes up when trying to get Malcolm's tone, they use too much saturation. His tone is pretty much a clean amp that's being hit hard on the front end. Your pick attack is very good, sounds like you're beating on it, which is how to get that tone!
I'm going to use your settings on my Marshall 4x12, with my Plexi 100W and use my MY Signature and see what it sounds like.I never thought of turning up the bass with the treble
Hi there what is your setting's on your line 6 spider amp, I have a gretsch and a line 6 spider and it sounds pretty good but not as good as that. Cheers
@SGdude93 Thanks man, yeah its the two pickup model. I'm actually thinking of taking the neck pickup out and cutting a middle pickup cavity and leaving those two empty to make it look like malcolms.
@SoloEpi - Wow - your 15! Thats hugely impressive for a 15 year old! It takes a good ear and a lot of musical maturity to pick up the intricacies of Malcolm's playing, you are 10 time better than I was at 15. Keep it up, and never stop playing guitar and Malcolm Young! - Its funny how cheap and litte shitty amps sound so good with a MY Gretsch Signature - perfect for AC/DC. Never sell your amp!
Although there is one thing that you could improve if I'm allowed to make suggestions. I'm not good enough to make suggestions. I think that at the end of the first chorus of Shoot To Thrill Malcolm seems (at least to me) to play the same walk very silenty that he plays at the beginning of the break.
@GoingDownOnTheWay Thanks for the support. I use A line 6 Spider 3 on the red led blues setting. Check out my other videos for the first recording I did and it will tell you the set up in the description. And the walk that is in the song is actually played by cliff at the end of the chorus. Listen to the Donnigton recording form 91 and youll hear what I mean. Anyway thanks for the support again, and keep posted,

@TheDoctor1019 Remember to turn the Presence to 0 with Treble turned up to 8 - 10 it or will sound like ice picks stabbing your brain.

Great, huge, tone. I think I'm in love
Watched your videos, impressive sound.
What does "same set up as the original" mean?
And what's your amp btw?

Your playing was awesome, keep it up!
