@Tinyone5000 I was in COGIC back in the day and I've been hearing the old untrue story about Bishop G E Patterson's uncle...There is alot more to the stroy and I for one don't believe, J O Sr was a holy man husband of one wife until she died the he re married, farther of the late Lavern Patterson and Bishop J O Patterson Jr lets leave it like that shall we?

You know nothing of the inside of this organization so I suggest that you stop trying to save what's left of a wasteland of an orgaization. Tinyone5000 you right. COGIC is now very political and has become full of predatory preachers like many Catholics. Too many victims coming forward pressing charges to be a lie. There's no accountability and no discipline being done. This grand ole church ain't too sanctified these days. I know Bishops Mason and Patterson must be spinning in their graves. Pray for COGIC and the whole Body of Christ, so many are falling away from the faith and orthodox theology

Speak that which is good and edifying to the body of Christ, not put the garbage out. The world is already doing that. That may be true but you can't talk about what you don't hear about. Other denominations are vocal about domestic and international outreach but most of the churches I have been around just don't emphasize it. I'm not tryn to tear down anyone, but leaders of the church are accountable for misconduct , plain and simple. These predators must answer for their sin to their respective bishops and discipline must be decisive. If nothing is done the church will continue to lose people's respect.

Leecogic, you are so right! I use to be these same people, then I left after being fed up with all the lies and misdeeds of the leaders in this "grand ole'" mess. But the fashion shows ("holy convocations") are worth the price of admission alone.
