Yeah it's way better in chinese. I haven't watched this movie since I was a very young boy, maybe 6 or 7 years old, I don't even remember it very well, but it remains to be one of my favorite movies. If only I could see it now. For some reason, it was so long ago, that I don't remember reading subtitles, but instead hearing what those subtitles said, like in my ear! IN A GODDAMN CHINESE ACCENT!

When confronted with armies of war sent by Mara (the God of Samsara, or material/illusional world) Guatama Buddha was said to have turned the arrows fired at him into flowers. It's a metaphorical lesson on pacifism & turning enemies into friends.
