Centipedes kill other insects and help keep the smaller insect population in check. They also provide food for other larger creatures. Killing all "the 100 legged freaks" would mean you might have a massive overpopulation of other bugs. It's similar to what happened when people killed sharks out of fear which resulted in an overgrowth of jellyfish. That's why we need them and ur comment seems slightly ignorant.
