just do black diablos, black gravios, azure los and pink ian at same time, silver los, gold ian. Those are only quests you need to do to get the akantor quest

You should be an HR 6 by the time you fought the Akantor. You don't even level up right away once you beat it. The Gun chariot and Smolder Dragonsword are the best weapons, IN MY OPINION, to use against him.

I always use onslaught hammer on him, and he's pretty easy to kill with it. It can get pretty heavy on the potions, mega potions and lifepowders though. I can solo him pretty quickly with no deaths if everything goes well :D

Noob a gunlance always hits upward while you defend so you stay in one place while lance hits upward yes but your not in defence and you move a lot so you might get hit by the feet or something NOOB!

cant you see that using a lance would make hitting the akantor a tad more difficult. and the wyvern fire of the gunlance makes up for the lack of damage it deals when compared to a lance, and who the hell cares if you dont use the blasts of the gunlance? the damn blasts decrease the sharpness as if you stabbed the enemy more than 6 or so times. and it leaves you vulnerable for a few seconds which could greatly destroy your strategy. THINK BEFORE YOU PICK A FIGHT AND DONT CALL PEOPLE YANKS(?)

Okay then so if the gunlance seems to be so much better then the lance, why did he die? I've seen vids of people using a lance, and killing it not only faster but also without ever getting hit. So I don't see how using a lance would seem so much harder plus in the long run the lance's higher attack value would still equal more then the gunlance even though he did use the wyvern fire, so I think I do think before I pick a fight, no go make an excuse so I can shoot it out of the sky again.

The HH has unbelievable buff's, that the GL doesn't have. I love it when people bring an HH. Not only is it powerful, but it's great for the team. Every weapon is good in it's own way. None are better than the next. It's just how you use it, and what you use it on.

Mixeraxe, the GL isn't the most superior out of all the new weapons. They're all good in their own ways. The bow takes no ammo, and is a great solo weapon. It's what I always do the Dual Kirin with. With Adrenaline, I can kill a Rajang like it's nothing. That's only naming a couple of many monsters it's perfect with. The LS not only has good power, but good attack speed. Plus, it has ESP when the special attack is kicked in. That's a win in my book.

LS doesn't give ESP when spirit gauge is full, but it does allow you to sometimes cut though places you once couldn't but when you try it on Basarios and Gravios and you'll see with I think green sharpness and lower even with Green sharp you'll usually always bounce off.

Dude this video clears up so much stuff:

1.U can kill Akantor w/ a gunlance

2.Gunlance is apparently a superior weapon among the new ones(Long Sword,Gunlance,Bow,and hunting horn

3.you don't need very strong armor to last against akantor

and...

4. Akantor is a wimp

Not really superior but just one of the more powerfull ones and Akantor is made a wimp by the gun chariot. coz of the defence ability and quick stabs while defending unlike the lance

heres the thing nice goin by the way First of all u dont need anything like megas or guard lol i finished this with gun chariot and full dragon maxed only spd sharp jewels. All i do is block and att the feet wen he trips i wyvern fire his feet then after like 10 min i take his tail and continue at exactly 29 everytime i fight him he dies lol i always beat the crap and once it gets to 29 i use wyvern fire and he dies xD

You should get MegaJuice & gem ur armor for Guard+2... Then to be safe, stand under his belly, he can't attack you, you can attack him... Easy kill, I do it this way in 15 minutez :-)

it's better to just use guard+2

Gun chariot is dragon attribute. i did duel rajang few times and now got full^^, i did hr6 black grav with siegmund btw. now, trying to solo beat akantor =D with gun chariot =D!

A gunlance against the dual rajang,you must be good with gunlances as i couldnt see how a gunlance could be effective against a fsat moving monster like rajang,i used the akantor bow and adrenaline+2.

the g rank shen gaoren urgent quest is easy as shit... i didnt even try to beat the quest and i did i brought like 10 max potions and dual dragon ultimius...(need crimson fatalis stuff to upgrade =(..) but its easy i beat with 5 minutes left lol

the easiest way to kill a blk gravios is to use a bow with alot of water and raw atk i used the dragonbow harp and get full rathalos soul armor and some expert jewels, put grav to sleep place lg bomb+ next to chest and blow up and repeat

Akantor is Easy with 4 ppl, 3 of wich have lances. Lol, it should take less than 5 mins. 3 ppl with lances use magajuice and just keep charging at the akantor while the other one keeps flashing it... Lol, although it might take a lik practice to flash it at just the right timing so he doesnt keep incing backwards accross the lava... Because, his legs have to be just where the lava is or else you will charge to the other side of the area... =P
