@IainStudios 2 things you can do:

Edit a rom if you are so inclined to do so. Very easy to learn.

OR

If you are actually pretty advanced with your knowledge on chip boards, electronics and programming... you can edit the cartridge itself. I wouldn't advise this unless you are an expert.

A game of this magnitude on such a simple console having a level editor? Come on, bro...

I think al the older sonic games are like that no rings and 1 hit your dead i know 1 and 2 and sonic anc knuckles are like that. I have never killed metal sonic that fast and you can (have to be very acurate) Hit him 1 time and he dead when hes just about to land

Hey, for anyone who still plays this game, if you play the game using sonic only (go into options to make this change) you will be able to get the chaos emrelds so much easier, I can get them all in before the end of level 3, try that , it may take a little longer at first to get familiar with the other emreld stages, but once u do it's a breeze.

you know there is a code for getting all the emeralds, right? On the level select sound test play 4, 1,2, and 6. I you hear an emerald sound you've gotten it to work. Hold A and select your level.

Lol. Damn those stages. Here's a tip! Tails is slower by about 1 (ONE!) lousy second! And that's just a quick estimate. Once you master his timing, the emeralds, as they say, are in the bag.

Another good tip is, right before doc. egg man comes out with his suit, go all the way to the right side and then he will come out going to the left so you can attack him from the back and you will defeat him in atleast 8 sec.

@AngelofDestinies I used to do it even easier but it was very risky. Basically did a small jump just away from edge of screen before he hands and get 4 hits in but its very risky and you have to react so the spikes dont start spinning then as he spins to other side jump and repeat, takes a few seconds that way. Robotnik used to be relatively easy if I was bothered, just a case of timing jumps so I got most hits in before he flew off.

@AngelofDestinies he's acctually not that hard to beat, mostly due to the fact that his moves are so predictable. EIther you can do as Shadsilvson11 did, or instead of the spin at first just hop on him 4 consecutive times like he did the second time. I've downloaded this game on my phone. Metal sonic is not my problem, it's fatso's huge metleoid waist of space lol.
