  • Yes, I have discovered this piece of info not to long ago. Now when I make them I try to have as little wood as possible touching the box. Thanks for the tip!

  • hey jeff i know its kinda late but instead of having the neck touch the top of the cigar box have the neck sit just below the top of the cigar box because if the neck is touching it messes with the acoustics.

  • Thanks!

Actually, I am in the process of making a real nice four string right now. I will put up some vids for you real soon. You can take the 3 string tutorial and just make a 4 string instead. You may want to use a wider piece of wood for the neck but you dont have to. Like you, I searched for hours on youtube for how to vids before making my first cbg and what I found out is the are not any real rules to making these guitars. Just use a "real" guitar to match up the frets and bridge.

  • Do you think you could do a four string tutorial if its possible? and this actually helped out a lot this is probably the best one ive found on here and i may try to do this soon
