  • These guys remind me of pokemon, traveling around learning a lot and humbling thorugh training, but almost never win the competition they train for

  • Just go thailand an you can train everywhere. From BKK to pattaya, Sattahip, Rayong,..it is the national sport just like football is in the west. Lots of russians fight camps now. If you want to fight competition no problem(mai donghuang)Get e membership card of a gym, Doctor who says you are fit and you're in business.

  • It's my goal to go to Fairtex. I love music, I have always been fascinated by the philosophy, discipline and the power behind it. I was young when I did Karate and it has been a long time since, I will be 21 this year but martial arts and music I can travel the world while learning from different people and styles.

  • You've got to be a thai citizen to train at the soldier camp and you must be in the Royal Thai Army

  • 1:01 unlike karate?? have you seen kyokushin?

  • perhaps that's the reason, all in all Muay Thai is a great style but a little too....out there you know? get a strong kamikaze fighter who catches your leg and you're fucked

  • again. grappler wins against a striker if he isnt knocked out while setting up a situation that supports him.

  • arguable. depends on the striker, they might have the skill, or just get lucky to strike the grappler before they can let their grappler skills come into play. A good solid hit, say iron palm training enhanced would put out most peoples lights

  • @epicureo25 Yes hes inaccurate in his comment. Knock down karate uses shin kicks i know i did it for 6 years. If he was talking about a wuko style of Karate he was right.

  • Bill kicks like a little bitch.

  • i guess foreign people cant train in this muay thai soldier camp?!

  • Unless you become a thai citizen and become a participant in the Royal Thai Army

  • Bill would've gotten destroyed.

  • whats he saying... audio is rly bad. is it ledrit?

  • are they using this "ledrit" in the thai-cambodian stand off?

  • it's basic kick..

  • win! :D

  • It' not caled a fucking Power Angle Kick lmao

its Dtae, or roundhouse to foreigners

  • He's been training for years. He's an expert. He knows what it's called. You are wrong.

  • In Thai (Where Muay Thai is from if you didn't know) is Dtae (meaning Body Kick).

Power Angle Kick is just a stupid exaggerated american name for it.

  • You mean thailand right?, and yes he happens to call it a Power Angle Kick. He means the same thing, so it is the same kick.

  • At wicker camp in england we call the roundhouse the band-dai i dont know if its spelt that way but for the roundhouse the trainer just says perform a band-dia.

  • no offence these 'reporters' have to trim down. VERRRYYY slow

  • The brick breaking was kinda like the Iron Palm technique.

  • That military style looked like complete shit, almost like Karate with all those spinning kicks and shit. I like the sport muay thai it seems more effective to me.

  • Lol this show was out before fight quest..

  • this shows same shit as fight quest.

  • Respekt.

  • que tal video es una verdaddera belleza el muay thai

  • MuayThai was original from THAILAND

    MuayThai had many branches too.

Such as "MuayThai Boran", "MuayThai Chaiya".

  • that angle kick is just how you should throw a round kick not else!

  • put a yellowbook/ dictionary inside yer backpack n kick it 250/day

  • how do i toughen my elbows? do i do that the same way as my shins and fists?

  • you hit brick walls.

    Eventually they will toughen.

  • What? If you hit brick walls, expect nothing but broken bones. You won't harden your elbows. You'll do permanent damage to them. Harden them by hitting heavy bags, pads, and rolling sticks over them.

  • to toughen your elbow you begin by taking an old pillow and strap soft sandpaper on it, then strike it with your elbow, so that your skin will start to burn a bit, then when you've built up hard skin you can take a wooden board, a hard one, and keep striking your elbow with it, i find it best to do it "ten strikes, dip it in gold water for 10 secs, and repeat" i hope you found this info helpful, keep workin the Thai, seeya

  • Gold water?

  • fast track conditioning is not the way to do it, next you will be advising people to use the rolling pin/glass bottle on the shins trick.

it will work fast but will result in problems later in life!

  • umm... do youe regularly punch with the butt of the palm or the knuckle... im just a few weeks into training so i dont really understand yet

  • You punch with your index and middle knuckles with a cross, jab and hook. Uppercut you want to land flush across the bottom of the jaw full fist.

  • thank you

  • lol u learn dat da first day....

  • Fake Name.

  • can a nazi be a communist

  • no the are totally opposite they are enemies

  • none sense argument!

  • here is a crazy thought, how about you kick with your whole leg. as in if you need to hit a exact spot kick with the ball or heel, but if you want to hit a large area you kick with the shin... i know crazy thought. using different types of kicks for different things. haha

  • jung tu do teaches you to hit with the shin and the foot

  • fuckin bullshit man...cambodia was not once thailand...to let u guys know...vietname, thailand, burma, and laos was once cambodia...because we have proof inside the ancient temples of angkor...

  • For real man they screwed up that part of the history a little bit in this video.

  • normally u kick with shin ... -.-

foot can break if your enemy block it with his knee :P

  • depends on how good a kicker the guy is. i have seen a guy doing Bogu gear fighting dent the metal face mask with a ball of the foot round out. needless to say the guy who got kicked was KOed.

  • roundhouse....

  • My friend trains and teaches muay thai. I was into jiujitsu at that time and when I sparred with him, man, that dude kicked hard! These guys are friggin' tough!

  • hmm, he says unlike karate, muay thai is taught to hit with the hard part of the shin. I do karate, and we are taught to hit with the shin, too!

but hen again, one of our instructors does do muay thai.

  • in most karate schools they teach you to kick with the foot, not shin.

  • Yeah! But in Kyokushin it is the shin:)

  • what do you mean?, muay boran was before muay thai, muay thai is bassicly the cleaned up version of boran

  • yeah in the military their teaching muay thai, you can kill with it. its brutal i know i do muay thai, the original style muay boran was wicked though

  • Do you do MMA or straight mauy thai?

  • haha. I pity the guy who tries to mug u.

  • wow, sure wouldn't want to get my but kicked by one of these guys. haha

  • hey its the fairtex camp! sweeet!

  • Lerdrit is impressive and you can see it would be effective. Too bad finding an instructor for it is damn well near impossible

  • he use muay thai and He teach high fight in military. High fight use every good point of all matial art in the world mix togather. you call that Hi Fight is new matial art[He almost studied all matial art in the world and chose only good point of each matial art].

    please fogiveme with my english.

  • Studied all martial arts in the world right? Sureeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

  • am tring to pick a martial arts to take in september and this is realyy helping

  • you should take capoiera. its crazy fun to watch but hella hard to learn

  • ??? whats that?

  • eddy gordo

  • thats capoeira lmao

  • lol i know. im just being silly.

  • eddy gordo is brazilian and he use's capoeira this is bankock they use muay thai

  • Its Bangkok and Eddy Gorgo is black.

  • dont u mean bruce iverin man wtf!!!

  • that at the military academy is called Lerdrit I read something about it long time ago, from what I remember it was modified to use palm strikes and more grappling

  • this looks like shaolin kung fu but what they are training in this military academy hasnt got anything to do with muay thai^^

  • ?? the military use muay thai

  • they call it lerdrit or something

  • this is cool but the dialogue makes it sound staged

  • for an old guy he move's really really smooth

  • thx for uploading this man.
