  • from a diffrent plant

  • Where's Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich?

  • A time of such great fun and freedom - no politically-correct anything!

  • Yep! Confirmed - the 60's was the best!

  • Hi I loved your video and the 6-5 was just great I watched every Saturday without fail before going out. But what has it to do with the 60's it finished two years before the 60's started, it ended soon after Jack Good left the BBC and started Oh Boy on ABC. But a great memory jogging video and I love your selection of music.

  • I'm 16 again.

  • Cher looked older back then! I think anyone who was in their teens in the 60s had the best deal of any generation before or since, musically. Pity I just missed it.

  • The Bee Gees!!!

    Love them!! Real music!

  • FU! PAULLONDEN...since when does sexuality come into these things..the BBC is no more run by gays now as it was then...and most gays with ANY cred don't work for the BBC which is seen as a TV fossil by ANYBODY!! and its just as sexist to say there wouldn't be an entertainment industry without gays!!???WTF!! So all those industry entertainers in any capacity were null and void due to the fact that they wanted to shag Pan's people and not be one of them!! Grow a brain cell you scrote!

  • Lawd ,I feel so old!

    Fantastic stuff!

  • Love the dancing in the opening sequence. Tom Jones: Sex on legs! Twist & Shout? Absolutely amazing. The Stones? Brilliant. Cilla? Who'd have thought she would have such a long career? Billy J? Should have changed his hairstyle! Manfred Mann? He's 70 now, unbelievable. I could go on and on............(and I have1)

  • Cilla bloody Black, still droning on with her crow's voice.

  • Absolutely marvellous!

  • First bit is Chris Barber's band with Chris on trombone and Pat Halcox on trumpet

  • @Michaellxxx Hi Yes I remember 6-5 Special, Discs-a-gogo.New faces And Opportunity Knocks

I feel 51 now but I am 71 this month lol

BTW Thank You Corksand for uploding this one

  • 1960's? The best time for teenagers EVER...we had it all - jobs galore, cheap houses, the pill, great music and great fashion. Definitley the IT generation.

  • Ingelbert dumper truck was brilliant!

  • all the lot....yesterday I was 15 now Im 66

  • @Michaellxxx Isn't that the way it goes man? I'm only 48 but it feels like that. Yesterday i was a big-eyed kid looking at the mini-skirts and Mini cars, now I'm everybody's uncle.... :)

  • @LittlPussi I still look at mini skirts actually thats not so true its the legs

  • @Michaellxxx True. When they first came out (I was 4 or 5 ) I looked at the skirts. Somewhere in the 70s I changed to your perspective and haven't given it up yet.

  • The BBC the best station in the world? Yeah right.

They needlessly destroyed half their 60s & 70s archive and you can only work there now if your a faggot.

  • I remember Kent Walton used to do Discs A Go-Go on TWW in Bristol and the badges you could get and Sherley Bassey before she went all sophisticated She sang Kiss Me Honey Honey Kiss Me

  • @Buzby2008 what about ......drum beat....6 5 special .....etc....now how old do you feel

  • BBC was reputed to stand for "Bum Boys Club" or "Ban Black Comics"

  • So square - don't dig that scene any more man..

  • Thank God for the 60's!!!!!

I was a teenager through the 60's I was very liucky.

  • not as many as a brit would ..... american here .... didn't get your show here .... but know quite a few ..... liked lulu a lot too .... attractive girl, she was!

  • all of em

  • Those chicks dancing are hot!

  • Pans people

  • I remember all of them ,great memories for me. thank you .

  • six five special lol..feb 1957-december 1958. by the time the 1960s started the six five was largely a forgotten show from another era. just 2 or 3 years in teenage life is a big time. i no i was there with john pertwee and christopher columbus

  • wow, Tom Jones voice is just incredible. I'll bet he got more pussys than the animal rescue league

  • @deltorso

So right, You have to be a queer to get a job at the BBC now.

  • I thought this video was well thought out, very good.

  • Peace and LOVE.

  • Anyone remember 'Cool For Cats' with Kent Walton on Channel 9 (ITV) (Thursdays?). Loved the dancers - any clips anyone?

  • "Cool For Cats" WAS the greatest, Can't find ANY related material, more's the pity.

  • BBC▬WAS the best station in the world .

These days it's overun by gays ,

    and talentless creeps like J.Ross.

  • Very true!

  • Don't see what gays have got to do with it!

  • @PAULLONDEN . OK - so do you remember BBC gays from way back. Frankie Howerd, Hugh Paddick. Kenneth Williams. John Inman. There are no more gay people in the world now than there were then - (at least in proportion to the total world population). The only difference now is that instead of the closet being almost full, it's almost empty. (No I am not gay - but didn't you ever learn the meaning of the word "tolerenace" when you were in school?

  • @ac29011

Alright, I grant that my comment was a bit over the top ,and can be misconstrued.

I've got nothing against gays either,(this comment is in itself an afront) But you just can't denie that the BBC lost it's past greatness. Gayness is being pushed to the limits there these days. And the channel is being overrun by cookes and morons with eating disorders.

  • @PAULLONDEN Yes, all underworked and overpaid. Cameron should send the troops into Broadcasting House and forget about Afghanistan!

  • @PAULLONDEN

    Don't forget,bozos with eating disorders.

Btw.nothing against gays, without whom we probably would have no entertainment industry, butt enough is enough.

  • @PAULLONDEN pig

  • @PsychLion |And....cooks with eating disorders....;]

  • pls set at info names of who sings

  • 1:20 who are those?

  • They were the Beat Girls with Babs who later went on to Pans People

  • You should research the song and know what the song really means instead of what you think it means.

  • "Litte children,

You better not tell on me.

    Litte children,

You better not tell what you see."

Far and away, the Wrongest song in rock & roll.

  • Explain....."Litte"boy. ☺

    By zé way....that was't "Rock'n'Roll

    anyway.

  • Wasn't "rock & roll"....more like.

    sorry

  • so true, imagine if micheal jackson or gary glitter did a cover of this song

  • At least 1960s pop is better than today's god-awful pop!

  • Jethro Tull - Witches Promise, thanks PatGleeson123

  • who's the guy with the teeth on 4:52?

    scarey...

  • Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, if memory serves

  • who sings at 4:45?

  • And . . . . . Ray and Dave Davies - The Kinks !

  • Comment removed

  • There's no Ray/Dave Davis and Kinks here xinix

  • this is the music people not rap this!!

  • 1960's Pop Memories?? "Whiskey in the jar" and "Blockbuster" came out at the end of 1972

  • Most of this had nowt to do with The six Five Special, looks more Top of The Pops

  • How can I find out who each of these clips is? I think I know several, but there some that I had no idea who they were!

  • Tom Jones, Beatles, Stones, Cilla Black,Billy J.Kramer& The Dakotas,The Move, Manfred Mann,BeeGees,Sonny&Cher,ProcolHarum,JoeCocker,Englebert,Cliff Richard,Lulu, Alan Price Set,PeterSarstedt,JethroTull,Thin Lizzy,Sweet, Beatles.
