  • I don't think they were going to harm any politician and I don't believe that they were violent. At the same time, why must the Left only get upset when Liberals say something that has already been said by Labor leaders such as Anthony Mundine.

I personally believe that the Prime Minister's Office incited this reaction to make Julia look good but it has blown up in her face and now, she must go.

  • @NakedWombatStuff Anthony Mundine is not a labor leader, Weather or not Julia made the error the point is the protesters were excessive (and I know as I have marched in a few protests) Julia is not the problem, the only message being heard is the negative message. I wonder how you will feel with no car industry or primary produces! Thats Abbots world. Labor is fucked because they no longer represent labor. They are more conservative than the liberal party of 30 years ago

  • @franks2732 I won't disagree that the protesters went too far. The PM's Office deliberately incited a reactionary group for Gillard's re-election and now they're paying for it. No local industry is the game of both majors. Labor started it and Liberals accelerated it. Problem is both are financially owned by foreign multinationals, mining especially.

  • @NakedWombatStuff YES they are

  • @franks2732 And adding...I'm supporting Katter's Australian Party to protect the primary and secondary industries.

  • @NakedWombatStuff I will be voting Greens first and the Australian Party second. I believe the Australian Party will get about 15-20% of votes in the upcoming QLD election. Anything over 10% and the political landscape of QLD changes. the greens will poll about 6-8%. Meaning the major parties really are not that major anymore

  • The cops pushing her along seemed more responsible for her falling over and losing her shoe and such. That said I think they did want to do harm to her, she shouldn't have gone outside until more cops arrived to clear them. Forget the day. Mob violence against anyone is wrong, this is a bad way to get your message across too. Though this is a small group, it's the extremists who get the media attention and fuck over the wider movements as usual.

  • @unassumption I will be doing another video on this subject

  • The protesters were there for tony abbott.

They wanted him to explain what he ment in his statment about the tent embassy.

Would they have gone there at all if he was not there.

Tony says it was anti government statements being yelled out.

Thats not what i heard in the videos they were calling out racist. Aimed at tony abbott.

Tony needs to choose his words better but its hard for a man that dodges the media and avoids real questions to answer one without putting his foot in his mouth.

  • @australianews he is an ass who is after power by any means

  • @australianews I will be doing another video and will be calling on your support. PM to follow in the morning

  • I agree, I think it was all counter-productive. I also found the suggestion/demand that Gillard pick up her shoe from the tent embassy demeaning and silly.

I'm strongly supportive of addressing the many, many Aboriginal grievances and disadvantages that exist, but overt displays of aggression make the cause less palpable and progress less likely.

  • @churchofstfu Sadly you are 100% right. I watched the ABC and really felt scared for her. Even the protesters against Howard showed some restraint. And now what has happened the "conservatives" are having a field day. The leaders of the protest movement should be ashamed. They lost the public, lost the media and gave the "bad guys ammunition"

  • Yes the flag burning doesn't mean much to me.I'm not so patriotic that I feel any real pain when someone burns an American flag.I've never understood it really.I do know that it offends a lot of ppl for some reason though.

re:Ms.Gillard, It looked like her security ppl were about to hurt her the way they were dragging her.

  • I thought the PM was the equivalent to the U.S. President. Thus I would have thought there would be more security around her.

  • @SuperPacJack She is, it was really poorly planned by her security detail. But the protesters actions were well over the top. It was not a good day for the cause of equality

  • @SuperPacJack No head of state is as well protected as POTUS: Seriously the stuff he has to have by law going anywhere is utterly insane!

  • @DarthAzabrush Worse than the Pope.

  • Burning the flag seemed to me a negative on the part of the protesters.

  • @SuperPacJack Personally I am not offended by 'flag burning' but wonder if the neo nazi's had have had a protest and burned the aboriginal flag weather the protesters would have accept their right to do it? The leaders of the protest were stupid and lost a hell of a lot of support with the Australian Public. Rather than burning the Australian Flag I would rather they cut off the bit with the Union Jack and replaced it with their own. Hey I am not English I am Australian
