Reminds me of the Cleveland tourism videos (I moved to Cleveland 5 years ago). Lived in Canoga Park for nearly 10 years...moved to Koreatown for a year before moving to Cleveland's "urban suburb" of Lakewood. Still, even the worst parts of Canoga Park look like Calabasas compared to the roughest parts of Cleveland.

@wulfemom Canoga Park west of Topanga Canyon to Shoup (or Farralone) is still '"nice" albeit white-bread. The 'hoods west of those streets seceded into West Hills, which is still "nice"..although very bland and white bread.

@thedarkocean What I like about the Valley, though, is that it's so easy to get around because all the streets are laid out on a grid, which makes transportation a hell of a lot easier. Everything south of Santa Monica Blvd. is a mess, I always have to bring a map when I go downtown xD

wow. i was born here. i now live in Toronto, Canada. I don't remember much about it, but I was so young. I left (parents moved us) in 1971. btw, is the music here the theme from ALF (1980s tv show) ?

It was good in the late '50's (lived across the street from Christopher Columbus Jr. High) and '60's (lived in what's now West Hills.) Remember hearing the Rocket Engine tests up at Santa Susana test facility and hope, now, that I didn't soak up to much radiation from the reactor.

That is excellent! I want the words so I can sing this catchy song. I grew up there as well, but my part of CP turned into West Hills in the 80's. My brother just visited and was disgusted at the area we used to proudly call "home". POST the words please!!

Reminds me of the Cleveland tourism videos (I moved to Cleveland 5 years ago). Lived in Canoga Park for nearly 10 years...moved to Koreatown for a year before moving to Cleveland's "urban suburb" of Lakewood. Still, even the worst parts of Canoga Park look like Calabasas compared to the roughest parts of Cleveland.

You need to consider to do some volunteer work. It's your city your community. It's a beautiful community, very diverse and has a very rich culture that many people do not cultivate. Canoga Park is a beautiful city with many beautiful family.

@wulfemom Canoga Park west of Topanga Canyon to Shoup (or Farralone) is still '"nice" albeit white-bread. The 'hoods west of those streets seceded into West Hills, which is still "nice"..although very bland and white bread.

@thedarkocean What I like about the Valley, though, is that it's so easy to get around because all the streets are laid out on a grid, which makes transportation a hell of a lot easier. Everything south of Santa Monica Blvd. is a mess, I always have to bring a map when I go downtown xD
