Thanks for your comment! In Britain, Sandie Shaw is best remembered for winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1967 with "Puppet On A String" which became a British (and European) #1 hit single. Sandie's first hit (in 1964) "There's Always Something There To Remind Me" was recorded originally by Dionne Warwick, Sandie's version reached #1 in Britain and #52 in US. Subsequent hits were "Girl Don't Come" (UK #3, US #42) and "Long Live Love" (UK#1, US#97).

Hello again Lyndloo! Thanks for your comment. Check out Sandie Shaw singing "Monsieur Dupont" from a 1969 edition of Top Of The Pops, it's brilliant! Cilla Black sings "Surround Yourself With Sorrow" from the same edition of TOTP.
Thank you so much for this. Very interesting indeed.

The best-looking 60s girl singer by far, and with a unique singing voice.

I love Nancy Sinatras analysis of Sandie Shaw in this vid. The difference between Sandie Shaw and Nancy Sinatra is that Sandi Shaw has talent.
