@qahtani Not necessarily so. While SP-1200 sound is VERY hard to imitate, you can do so much by using external effects to archive "grimy" sounds. To me I don't really care for it, as I feel that music composition is far more important. I've been trying to find SP-1200 for cheap (or my price range), but I've realized that that's not going to happen, LOL! I want S950 too, but now those Akai S series are becoming very pricy on used market. I'm trying to suppress my gear lust...
@livelydeadful My bad, I went a little too far with low pass baseline from ES1 (this is a very first time that I set up this way.) Plus, I think I should've sampled "The Jam" drum a bit louder. On my mixer (Portasound 424), all the channels are taken, I need a mixer with more channels!
@CivilIllEnt It is not Lexicon Omega, it is infamous M-Audio Quattro audio interface. It has 4 input and 4 output, all metal casing, which is good. So far, it works well with my MacBook pro, which is amazing despite the fact that the driver is very old (this thing is about 10 years old!) Generally it is not well-liked audio interface (therefore it can be found cheap on eBay), but I think it is a good audio interface. I had to replace all the switches (causing noise) though.
Dope remix. You are like the beat remix king on you tube peace! Yeah man I remember like it was yesterday. My bro went to the mall and bought this tape home. Heiroglyphics all day. Dial the seven digits ha ha lol.
Needs done on an SP/950. That's why that song is so grimy.
