  • I hope this game comes you to the 3ds vurtual console

  • WOW those graphics are quite impresive, it looks like a bad graphics snes game, which is pretty good to be agame boy color

  • @mrbeanchannel if u push select u can change characters, not just when u die.

  • Man endless hours of this game and Super Mario Brothers

  • Just bought this game in a bundle off of ebay. Havent played it yet but it looks promising. Thumbs up if you think I will like the game! :)

  • i never knew that there was a version on gbc and also with not so good graphic, i played this much when i was little

  • This game was my childhood and I loved every second of it

  • Expect this game cost over 8$ when nintendo released it in ds 3ds eshops

  • how much would somebody buy this game im selling

  • @bulbajackel1 100 pounds?

  • @zack79503respawn i dont remember what i was talkin bout lol

  • man. i missed this game.

  • This brings back memories.

  • @gemmasinger Tell me about. Back to when I was 5!!

  • hey that bee that killed you at the third level, let me tell you how to kill it, just throw a barrel at him and you will go MUCH farther.

  • 0:40 isn't that the menu select from DK64?

  • this conversion is just amezing,no one ever tout that rendered csi graphics were possible on the s nes,let alone on gameboy, but rare proved that all wrong,

and thanks to the gameboycolor screwed up gardware, rare even maneged to shrunk this game on the 8bit,squeezing everything to it,s limmit.

    absolutely amezing!!!

  • DKL > Black Ops

  • A little bit vague for a review, I wouldn't mind a bit more comparison between this game to DKL, and the SNES version.

  • That was horrible

  • you can also ride on the rhino's back on the snes donkey kong country

  • amazing...

  • I play this for hours. I got a GBC today, my Dad got it. THIS GAME FOR GBA, GBC, AND SNES FTW!

  • The GBA version is better, but this is decent.

  • did you see the game over screen for this version, diddy's eyes looked creepy did they?

  • why does your gameboy look fat in the intro?

  • @mrbomblego probably because the camera was zoomed in

  • @mrbomblego It's because he recorded this using a 4:3 camera but stretched it to 16:9.

  • @mrbomblego aspect ratio

  • @mrbomblego I assume it was shot in standard 4:3 format and later converted to 16:9 widescreen format.

  • There are huge differentes watching the movie alone. (between this and SNES).

    Could still be fun thought.

  • lol how have you played this one but not the snes version! That one is one of the best games ever

  • Tro bien!!

  • more like rhino kong country but best game for the gb

  • wow the menu is an 8-bit DK64 menu fail

  • Dang! They have made 5 re-releases/remakes! The Original, Donkey Kong Land, This, the GBA version, and the VC re-release.

  • this was my first gameboy game, i loved it when i was 5.

  • u know whats weird i have this game though it has a gray cartrage instead of the clear one, though it doent play on an original gameboy, or a pocket.

  • hahaha i love the donkey 64-style menu

  • DKC for SNES is unbeatable

  • Donkey Kong Country has been released on these platforms:

    - Super Nintendo Entertainment System(SNES)

    - Game Boy Color(GBC)

    - Game Boy Advance(GBA)

    - Virtual Console on Wii(VC)

SNES and VC have better and more fluid animation along with better

contrast. If you have a HD TV you should go for the VC version

as it functions better on HD TVs than the SNES counterpart.

Donkey Kong Country(DKC) must not be confused with Donkey Kong Land(DKL)

It's two different series with different bosses and stages

  • @Stigtrix i recomend the SNES version and the Gameboy advance versions

  • @eddypikachu The SNES version and the VC version are best because they have superior graphics and fluid animation in addition to a better overview due to no screen compression.

The GBA version has poor backgrounds, not so good animation(even screen tearing if the number of enemies or stuff gets too high), and a compressed screen. On the plus side, the GBC and GBA versions have minigames, but that's it.

This goes for all Donkey Kong Country games.

Just the info for people who are interested :)

  • If you doubt me, I can guarantee these facts as I've played all versions of all Donkey Kong Country games :D

  • If you doubt me, I can guarantee these facts as I've played all versions of all Donkey Kong Country games :D

  • @Stigtrix superior graphics? they are a little bit more better on the gameboy advance, better overview doesnt really imrpove it mostly everybody dont have a problem with it. the gameboy advance version also has fluid graphics the same as the SNES, what porr backgrounds there tha same, i dont know what version your playing, whitch version are you playing? the one in this video thats not the one i am talking about im talking about the gameboy advance version the one in this video is the GB color

  • @eddypikachu I really doubt that you have played all versions in real life when you argue against me... The better overview imporves the game a great deal! It's like going from 4:3 to 16:9! No, the GBA has not the same fluid animation and it lags when too much happens on screen! This was an even bigger problem with DKC2 as it has more enemies in general. If you can't see the difference between the backgrounds, I suggest you search for "Donkey Kong Country - Snes vs Gba Comparison".

  • @Stigtrix i know i know about the SNES version has more fluid graphics, sorry its been a while since i played the SNES version, i compared them and the SNES is better, all im saying is that the GBA verion isnt crap

  • @Stigtrix Donkey Kong Land was still based on Donkey Kong Country for the SNES.

  • @HoleHeadedLiar Based on is a very vague term. Donkey Kong Land and Donkey Kong Country have very little in common compared to the other games in the series which stay very close to the console versions. Just search here on YouTube and compare levels and bosses.

  • This game actually has pretty good graphics for a Gameboy Color game.

  • Wow, this game looks so much easier (and better, obviously) in colour. I had the original Gameboy version and used to find it hard as nails - no wonder, since I was about 5 at the time and the black and white meant I couldn't tell what the heck I was doing xD

  • This was a direct port of DKC. DKL was a different game with a few levels being named the same.

  • P. Diddy Kong

  • also gonna buy this off amazon!

  • This game and Ducktales 2 is my favorites :)

  • I ordered a limited edition pikachu gameboy color with this game for $25 bucks and free shipping lol my gba died and i can play my gba games on my ds so i decided a gbc would be better since they're cheapier xD

  • @flimflabber

you should order a game boy printer to print the many goodies from this game as well !

  • Aww man! That is bringing back some memories!!! I wish my Game Boy still worked.

  • @bubblinbrownsugar616 Get a SNES!

  • My old fate Analog game boty still works. Oh yea, no colors! ^^

  • i just ordered donkey kong land yesterday and it just shiped today so im hoping to get it by sunday. in my oppenion dkl is better than dkc(on the gbc not gba or snes) only cause dkl was my first donkey kong game and the music on dkl is beast. but dkc on the gbc is a pretty good game

  • The Super Nintendo version is definitely the best. The same goes for the sequels. I actually found the GBC port better (or, at least, more enjoyable) than the GBA version for some reason. The GBA version appeared to try too hard to duplicate the original SNES in my opinion. It just didn't feel the same.

  • Pretty awesome graphics for an 8-bit game.

  • @NinjaMuffinMaster Better than some Atari Jaguar games...

  • Howeer, The Rhono's name Is Rambi!

  • best to worst IMO

    snes = awesome

gba = pretty good! almost better then snes

    gbc = weak

  • i have when i was a kid i love this game

  • Donkey kong country is best on SNES

the other 2 versions were Ok though

  • the game looked great on the gbc,it was unfortunately only for gbc,wtf rare i was allways wishing to play this game on the original gameboy',there micht be some duo versions of it but it will be very very rare to find them.

  • should i get this version or the snes version?

  • um, i havnt played the snes version, however I know its almost exactly the same. So you are safe with either. the Snes my be a slight bit more teechnical.

  • do you still play that? I want that so bad

  • @mrbeanchannel if you havent already you should your missing out!! or just get the gb advance version its the same pretty much. i wanna buy the gb color version thanks for posting the vid subbed!

  • get the snes version... i have all three of them on snes... MUCH MUCH better than any of the portable versions... (even though they have more mini games in them...)

  • I have the Game Boy Advance version and it is good. Sadly, I cannot get the SNES games since the only Nintendo consoles I own are the NES and N64 but I may get a SNES soon.

  • the dark and the mist levels are easier because you can still see the floor only its darker

  • Get it for snes it has MUCH better graphics...this game was considered a revolutionary breakthrough for the snes but u couldnt tell from the GBC or GBA versions.

  • more expensive/rare nowdays though. I bought the first for SNES for about 25 dollars at slackers.

  • @monkeymelon08 I grew up with the snes version, its probly better but the only real diference with the game boy version is that its 8 bit lol.

There both great, I would get both games lol

  • @BustyPineapple i grew up with the Gameboy advance version

  • @eddypikachu Thats a good version for sure, i dont have it but i saw it on my friend game boy sp, its great in general.

Isnt there extra items to find in the game boy advance version?

  • @BustyPineapple yeah theres these camera photos scadered all around DK isle and you need them to put them in the scrapbook, you need it to get 101 percent, then theres some new minigames for funky and candy, with funky you fish for fish sharks bottles octopus, jellyfish and much more, then candy has a dance studio with is like a dance dance revolution but easier and funner, and now you can save anywhere, theres also some time trials for each stage witch is pretty fun

  • @monkeymelon08 YES YOU SHOULD!!!!!!

  • @monkeymelon08

    @mrbeanchannel

the snes version its way better, smooths graphics, better sound, dont forget that the snes ver is 16 bits, and the gbc 8 bits

  • @monkeymelon08 get the snes

  • @monkeymelon08 The SNES version. Trust me, it's better.

  • i love this game, but it's too easy

  • what the hell is wrong with you?

  • I was just joking
