i just think de la hoya gave a better performance. i aint saying he won the fight but if he would of landed more punches he could of won. mayweather has very good defence and de la hoya too. they are both great fighters. i think if they would of gone 2 for 2 de la hoya would have the advantage.

he just try to get in de la hoya head. he just smile because he his cocky not because he was in control. He was just not able to match de la hoya power so he step back. Before round 8 De la hoya use his jab and he was able to lend some (and i said some) power punch, Floyd was great, but he was only using counter puch. Seriously, before round 8 Floyd was never in control, he was not in danger but not in control

Oscar won the WBO middleweight title with the biggest fix of all time in Vegas!! Felix Sturm totally dominated him for 12 rounds and still lost so they could set up a champ v champ fight with Hopkins!! it was disgusting to watch. Floyd would Destroy any fighter between 140ibs -- 150ibs.

I'm a big De La Hoya fan but i totally agree with FightFancom!!! You can not give Oscar the win for throwing for 10 or 20 seconds of a round and rarely hitting Mayweather. Floyd totally outclassed him, any real boxing fan could see this.

Not a chance. You don't win a fight by throwing brief flurries once a round that have little to nothing landing.

Floyd outboxed Oscar in the middle of the ring for the majority of the time in the fight, and did so outlanding Oscar by over 100 punches.

If you're scoring that fight for Oscar, you're either doing so with bias or with neglegence, because it was a clear win for Mayweather. He outboxed Oscar. Period.
