Each disc in either format is made with different pointless techy things that no body apart from geek heads can tell the difference with (One BR movie for example may be done in 1080p while another is done in only 720p). End of the day, both BR and HDDVD do the same thing, High Definition.

35mm films are 4x the quality of Blu-Ray films.

@Riddler95 Most definitely! I, for one, am going to buy this the day it comes out. I own the 2002 copy in the black cover (which looks better than this blue cover, btw) with a transfer in widescreen. That means a portion of the theatrical copy was cut off to fill the screen... Besides that, the quality of blu-ray is 5 times higher.

Back to the future was filmed with 35mm film like many other old films when you scan that into a computer its 1080p HD they may have used improved re mastering to beef up the colours and scarpen it up.
