there's TONS of different smokey eyes. you can even do a natural smokey look. it doesn't have to be dramatic to be smokey.

When she smokes out the bottom part of the liner what exactly is she using to do this as its obviously not the liquid liner used on the top lid (or is it???)

More than likely, she's using that darkest color of eyeshadow that she applied on the lower half of the lid. You can also use a pencil liner if that's what you preffer, or a combination of the two. Just be sure not to use too much, or else you'll get the racoon eye
