Thanks for the nice comments "radioroidar"...a while back now but it was a shot I had been trying to get for years...trouble is as soon as it snows these sort of places become very difficult to get too! Also remember "Train Spotting" in steam days at Guildford...old enough to enjoy, but too young to worry about all the problems of the world!

Beautiful! We rarely see good winter steam videos, and it's ones like this that make me go 'wow'! A perfect subject shot in perfect lighting. Very nice.

I remember train-spotting in my school shorts, in the snow, at Clapham Junction in the mid-60s when there was still a fair amount of steam left. Didn't seem to feel the cold then!

I live just up the road from there! I'm one of the 'lucky' people and when i say lucky i mean it gets very irritating with the whistling happening every 10 minutes! other than that, IT'S AWESOME!!! :D

It was a bit hairy going over there and blooming cold, but in 40 yrs of photographing steam engines I had never managed to get any in the snow!

Fantastic video, thanks for sharing. She sounded lovely coming through the tunnel then. Shame about the cheerful "Merry Christmas!" and walking in front of the lens at the end, bet you appreciated that eh?! ;-)
