  • Im happy to live in northumberland.

  • I love living here

  • Warkworth is so cool - you should also check out the Northumbria Trails video it has some awsome shots!

  • i was the drummer inapageant here in the 80s and live in amble close by lovely to have this on your door step

  • I lived in the castle for a long weekend back in the mid 90's when I ran a large medieval event there. Memories, both good and bad.

  • Pevsner says that approaching Warkworth from the Alnwick road represents the most exciting sequence of views in England, seeing the keep of the castle rising majestically from the winding Castle Street. I agree but I don't think tears in heaven is really the most apropos song to reflect Warkworth. Perhaps 'The Wind' by Cat Stevens is better. But what do I know, I've only lived there for the last 20 years......

  • just realised who's singing on this, it's all lovely, i'm jealous

  • Pah! Call that singing?? :o)

  • you sound like my dad lol

  • great vid, you gotta get along to Longhoughton too, thanks

  • I love Warkworth and love living here!

  • Beautiful video, and a place I have never been to!:))

  • We love the 14th C gatehouse to the bridge. If I order online, can you deliver it to my address?

  • We're so sorry sir! By all means pay online but its collect only....:o)

  • Beautiful video of a beautiful place.

I was last there 50 years ago, so glad to see

    its still retained its charm.

  • Thank you! Watch out for the others vids - I'll gradually be working my way up the Northumberland heritage coast as time permits!!

  • I LOVE seeing all the "history" from your country! As I watched, I let my mind transport me back back into time! If only those walls could talk...:-) Thank you for the tour!

  • Thanks GG - We have so much history right on our doorstep we tend to take it for granted I think!

  • What a wonderful tour..thank you so much for sharing this with us..

  • Thanks! I was just filling in time waiting for the next Titty Sisters blockbuster :o)

  • Loved the tour! And the castle was open, even in February? It looks huge! I never heard of Warkworth before.

  • Not surprised Julia - Northumberland is still the most "undiscovered" place in England. Yet it bore the brunt of so many conflicts - vikings, romans, england v scotland, english civil war - which is why we have so many castles to go with our magnificent scenery!

  • Somebody rated this 3 stars?? Unbelieveable.. Loved it, thanks for taking me there... :)

  • You're welcome mate! Wasn't planned - but when I saw the blue sky today.......:o)
