yes, it pisses me off when people make jokes about him and they never really knew why he was no longer on the show and what was his condition. The reason for his erratic behavior and anger. Poor Man. RIP. Thank you poster for recognizing him.
I read that his life was taken by a mental disorder similar to the one which nearly destroyed Britney Spears. If only he could have gotten help like she did!
@KhaosJr I agree. I've read about him too and he was somebody who truly needed help. It's pretty scary some of the stuff that happened while he was suffering from his mental illness.
Thanks so much for posting this. Sesame Street gave my childhood some normalcy. David was such in infectious character and one you'll never forget. What happened to him was a tragedy. He'll never know how many lives he touched.
David sigh I have so many fond memories watching him on Sesame Street when I was growing up. So sad he is no longer here with us.
