  • Thanks for the info about wrecked bikes. It's good to know that they will get way less if there bikes is totaled out again. Did you film this in west Knoxville by any chance, It looks like I have been there to me. At the stop light in the first part of the video if you go across the road is there DR offices in there, If you turn left like you did and go under the overpass and take the next RT you would be headed back to I-40East. Forget the name of the road you first turned onto. Ride safe, yl

  • This was the most boring video I have ever seen.

  • nice video man

  • Dude, you're making WAY too much of a little thing, only getting $2K back on a $4K bike is not a big deal, you only need theft insurance anyway because unless you had a crazy low deductible it would be cheaper to repair minor things yourself, than to pay deductible AND have your insurance rate go up, versus lower insurance payment for nothing but theft insurance on bike.

What you should have done in light of the vehicle's situation is wait a few days then offer less money for it.

  • hey man cool video i was thinking about buying a sv 650 ( i race motocross ) i was wondereing if this would be a good bike understanding that i like powerful bikes is this bike affordable and powerful? for a 17 year old

  • @dryandrouge - Yeah, depends on the motorcross bike you rode. Some of those are only 1 cyclinder and have lots of torque. If thats the case with you, I'd say it's similar enough that you wouldn't be unfamiliar with the powerband and the torque that sv provides.

As far as cost for an SV. ~3200 is right

I had a 2003 FZ1 and it was a great bike, but I sold it because I want the SV 650N. Depends on what you're looking for really. Theres a big difference between those two engines, as you may know.

  • @ImDamagedBadAtBest ya i knoe cc haha and any were i should start looking?

  • @dryandrouge - for an SV? I'd go with something 2004 or newer. I like the frame more on those + they're fuel injected and more HP. If you want a sporty SV, go with the 650S, but I like the way a 650N rides. It has a more comfortable riding position.

I'd also say to please ride a FZ6 and SV to see which you like more as the powerbands are completely different. My opinion changes on which Id rather have, but at this point I'd rather have the FZ6. The FZ1 was too much bike...for me anyways.

  • @ImDamagedBadAtBest well im just looking for something chep and affordably inshurance haha

  • @dryandrouge - If thats the case, I'd look at the Ninja 500 or 250. I love my 250 and will never get rid of it. However, I wish I had the 500. It has the best of both worlds. Low insurance and plenty of pickup! 0-60 in the high 3 second range. :) more than enough!

  • @ImDamagedBadAtBest ok so a kawi 250 or 500? how much are they? you have a specific model i should look at?

  • @ImDamagedBadAtBest I find it funny how straight to the point that user was.

  • your video is stupid. Kill yourself

  • Subscribed simply on the elliott smith reference. Nice riding!

  • @vroompshhtsi: Thanks! It's a creative vado. The new HD vado looks much nicer!

  • is this a good bike for a begginer rider. im turning 18 soon and i want to get a motorcycle. i have no riding experince and i am going to start working on getting my license but i was woundering if a 650 is a good bike to start off on or should i look into a 250cc or 500cc

  • @con3legend: I didn't have any riding experience when I started. I love my 250. I even sold my 1000cc FZ1 and kept my ninja 250 :). I've riddin a sv650 and loved it. I'm 6'3 and it fit my body better than the 250. If you respect the bike, you can get a 650 as a starter bike. However, I'd recommend a ninja 500 if you can get it for under 2500. anything over that and I'd just get the sv650 as they can be found for about 3000 if you look.

  • @con3legend continued...Its been awhile since i looked about bikes, but i believe the ninja 500 has 50 HP and the sv650 has 70hp. Remember the sv is a vtwin so its powerband isn't linear. The power is gone around 8k rpm. The ninja 500 has power throughout the powerband...peaking around 12k rpm i believe. I know quite a bit about these bies and would be happy to answer any questions you have. However, ninja250.org has endless amounts of info.

  • hey do you finally have an sv 650 now since this video is about a year old :S??

  • OMG....ur riding on the wrong side of the road!!!

  • I have a 2007 SV650 with 5950 miles on it. I got hit turning into a parking lot by someone exiting the parking lot. Point of impact was the left side swingarm(hit by bumper of Honda Accord). Very little damage, but the insurance company paid $3300 to fix it. I don't know why they didn't total it as the NADA value was like $3750 at the time.

  • @orangesv650: sorry to hear that! Stange they didn't total this bike. They can be found for less than that! Great bikes!

  • haw-haw you said you rode the previous owner!

  • dude what kinda of helmet cam u got on there???

  • @bhjordan246: It's a creative vado. They now make the vado HD. Looks great and shoots in HD!

  • that pot hole at 38seconds is BEASTLY.

  • you riding a 250? lol looks familiar. i got one too, and i also want to upgrade to a 650.

  • yeah, riding the 250. Love it, its a lot of fun. I want a 650N still :(

  • Hey you have some awsome video's. Very clean voice even when driving your bike!

Pitty that you are/were dissappointed. But you will

be okay, i hope you find a new SV650(-N?) soon.

Im also want a SV650N (naked) as my first bike so.

  • Hey Chane, Thanks for the compliment! Started my day out good. Yeah, I was disappointed, but I got a FZ1 that Im happy with. I do like that 650 a lot

  • I don't believe on carrying comprehensive on a bike thats valued under $6K. The insurance premium is higher than the risk factor IMO.

I'd never buy a totaled bike, as unlike a car the small tweaks to the frame, subframe, and suspension can make a huge difference and never feel quite right.

  • I don't have to buy the bike back, do I? I could just take the insurance payoff and call it a day, no? Thanks!

  • Exactly, yeah you just take the insurance money.
