  • one of my favorite songs by buckethead def in my top 10

  • and after stuff like that .. people ask me .. why do i love Rock ? ...

  • its a shame he doesnt market himself. He has to be one of the top 5 guitarist of all time easily. Yet so few people know about him. And hes been out since the 90's

  • @chaseb0512 He's a shy guy that doesn't want the fame. He just wants to play his music and not be caught up in all the bullshit this is associated with being a rock star. Musicians know how great a guitar player he is and thats all that really matters.

  • JESUS CHRIST THIS IS FROM 2006.. AND I DIDNT KNOW HIM UNTIL MID 2011.. WTF HAVE I BEEN DOING ALL MY LIFE LIVING UNDER A ROCK?

  • @XcroNz Don't blame yourself dude, he doesn't really try to stick out marketing wise.

  • Ah love this so much more live with the electric guitar than the album version

  • 102 people agree with me...what a snorefest.

  • @HarleyEqLoser

You and 102 people can go to KFC and shove drumsticks up your assholes. Now fuck off.

  • @HarleyEqLoser this song isnt that amazing, buckethead pwns ur shit anyday however

  • fuckin crazy

  • i only listen to instrumental music now , thx to Buckethead & Satch

  • @bzayed8080 and paul gilbert!!

  • @Brentypooz Got that right ;) my fellow rocker

  • TEMON!

  • Why is this song not on Itunes? >= /

  • It was the first Buckethead Vid ( early Night Of the Slunk version ) that I saw on youtube, I love it to die !!!

  • 240p and sogood XD XD XD

  • GOING!

  • i've watched this video countless times over the last five years, but i do wish he didn't use that paul gilbert-lick so much. i know he's made it his trademark, but it's fairly hard to find a single shred solo from him that doesn't use it :(

  • buckethead is god!!!!!!!!

  • sometimes his guitar sounds like a chicken.......

  • @HendrixVanHalen100 It is a chicken. Buckethead can make good-sounding music with anything. "Welcome to Buckheadland" was recorded on two sandwiches connected by a dirty piece of yarn.

  • I liked Bucketheads Old style back then!

  • sddfyguhfghjcdesxdesxdfcdc, Oh my bad, I was wiping the jizz off of my keyboard.

  • That is one sexy wah!

  • FUCKING BETTER THAN THE RECORDED

  • @UKYusei right there with you dude, this is just phenomenal. the album is missing something for me

  • my fingers smell wierd :)

  • He is the Les Claypool of guitar

  • God himself plays through this man's fingers! And to think he composes all of this music himself, simply incredible

  • DAMN!!!!!!!

  • I used to be an Atheist until I realized Buckethead was a God.

  • @TheLongLakeRockstar So now you're an agnostic?

  • Comment removed

  • @bitchslapper12 HAHAHA! Yeah I guess so. That or Poly-Theistic since I said "A God"

  • long live this guiter chicken plucking God of the 6 string

  • I saw him live, and he opened with this. I came. Oh how I came

  • @flicfan416 i went to the bb kings concert in NY i forgot to wear a condom IT WENT EVERYWHERE!!!!

  • Alternate picking master, buckethead is my guitarist idol.

  • if he ever did canon rock funtwo and jerry c would probably comit suicide

  • ive been in a buckethead phase since... forever :)

  • Thumbs up for audio and video quality

  • 101 people have nightmares about buckethead

  • As much as I love this guy as an artist, and I really do; I own several of his albums including ones he did with Primus, Corn Bugs, and Viggo something; but I really dislike his emotion live. This video paints a very different story than what I saw at the stone pony.

Now I understand different venue, long tour, but, he just seem to walts on the stage like his was part of a boy band. Always getting really close to the fans, and this kind of really haughty attitude.

Once the show ended, he left.

  • @supercoolninjayo in this sort of quick hurry, as though it were a monotonous task. I can understand that but, I wish he made it feel more like hanging out with him rather than just sort of worshiping him as some almighty being. I mean, a wave, or a few hand shakes would have been nice.

Like at least in this video, he is calm, doing his thing, and just being him. That I would like. But when I saw him, it was like watching a guy parade around his 1 foot shlong. I don't know, maybe that is justme

  • @supercoolninjayo um, in case you didnt notice, buckethead isnt much of a people person. Hes not like lady Gaga who uses wierd costumes to get attention, hes just a genuinely wierd dude.

  • @supercoolninjayo Why are you expecting so much from him..? He works hard enough as is it. You got what you payed for. He showed up, performed, and left. You can't expect him to stick around every single show for every single tour to meet every single fan. He does do that sometimes in case you didn't know though. As for the shaking hands and waving. He does that ALL the time. Actually, he waves good-bye at the end of the show when he's walking off stage. And he shakes fan's hands quite often.

  • @supercoolninjayo Actually, just last week I went to see him in Orlando and he did both those things at the show. Not just that, but he cares enough to give and trade toys and such to his fans at every show. And as for him "parading around", I have no idea what you're talking about. He's not parading, he's performing. What exactly does he do that makes it seem like his parading? Also, what haughty attitude are you talking about? I honestly don't see where you're coming from.

  • @kinobiheart I would bet so. I would imagine he is an amazing performer but, this was a small venue in a pretty ugly neighborhood. I just assume he would at least give a wave good bye or something. And him "parading" was precisely that. He would stand close to the edge of the stage waiting for people to reach out to him. To me, he just had a haughty attitude. I assume it was just the venue since there are no other videos of him acting the way he did.

    Still a great performer though.

  • @supercoolninjayo It's tough to discern, of course, the nature of a person as they perform on stage - particularly as they slog through what must be a grueling tour. I'd like to share a story, though: I say Buckethead a few years ago, and there was a young man (probably 14-16) who dressed like Buckethead to the nines. Clearly, Buckethead was his hero. During Jordan, Buckethead came to the edge of the stage, leaned over, and let that kid play the killswitch during the main riff to Jordan. Amazing

  • @supercoolninjayo saw, not say^

  • @thebrain31 I am confused. Are you stating that I should see it and not just say it? Or are implying that what I am saying is a misinterpretation of his actions?

  • @supercoolninjayo Hardly, the man is very nice and generous. He gives away toys to the audience every night he plays, he's given away a Les Paul before to an audience member, he's shaken peoples hands before, In 2008 he gave away two acoustic guitars at one show, he usually just throws his stuff into the audience, and he lets the audience play his guitar. He is seemingly a very kind man and wants to please all of his fans as best as he can. It's tough to be generous like that with the persona.

  • @StopRunningKid Maybe. Look, I don't want to sit here and say that is who he is but, its always possible and it is what I saw. He maybe generous but, that could still be arrogant. He could embellish the attention and lets people use his guitar as a way of flaunting something.

Regardless, neither of us know him personally so neither of us can describe his personality. It's a duality for us.

  • @supercoolninjayo Clearly you are unaware of Buckethead lore. Read up a bit and maybe you'll find the truth ;)

  • @MrBrawl It isn't like I haven't. I have always been a fan of him. I know he can be people shy sometimes and others embraces the Bucketbots. I am just stating what I saw and how I interpreted it. I still love the guy, find his "horror" persona awesome, and his music still amps me up or comforts me.

I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this.

  • @supercoolninjayo

neither confirming or denying anything, just wanted to say if any one of us were godlike guitarists, we would probably find ourselves becoming a little arrogant.

  • Buckethead is this guy that was raised by chickens in a chicken coop... And without the bucket on his head, he's helpless...

  • Have you guys checked out Ewan Dobson?

  • u don't need a band when u r so good

  • @kirannn89 Just wondering if it your a new Buckethead fan and was surprised by his Geniusness and dropped it?Dude hes in my top 5 Guitar Gods. Hes great isnt he? He always makes me go thru the roof when I hear him play years later! haha

  • @AnnyaMoon This is only the second time I've heard him play. He's made it to my Top 5 after listening to about 5 songs.

  • @kirannn89 Welcome to the world of Buckethead. I love Jordan/Post Office Buddy live. (2 songs he plays together) Jordan is on Guitar Hero2. I can play it with my back turned. haha Thats the only Buckethead I'LL ever play! :) If I am not mistaken, only HE could play his own tune for it, its not some pretend person.. OMG and SoothSayer is sent from the angels.

  • @AnnyaMoon lol @ guitar hero. I'm waiting for Rocksmith. I hope they have Buckethead songs on it. It'll be awesome. Might take me a while, but totally worth it. Must check it out if you're a guitar hero fan.

  • BUCKETHEAD on top of the world and on a side note Metallica sucks balls.

  • Getting a closeup on this hands feels like a sin.

  • Dude, this is epic. Everything was perfect. How epic the bass drum sounded. His tone. The solo. How eerie and creepy it seems in this version. It's all totally Buckethead.

  • Imagine all of the pussy this guy must get.

  • @MRSAMBONE2332 And all the fried chicken.

  • @CapnCheezburger hAHAHAHA

  • ha i love that, "wheres the epic button" what better word to describe one of the greatest guitar players of all time!

  • BUCKETHEAD RULES!

  • My brother invited me to a buckethead concert and I had never seen or heard of him before. He played this song as well as the Embalmer. That's all it took to get me into this dude.

  • hes got some huge ass hands!

  • His hand has its own life

  • 101 pessoas acham que o slash ainda e o melhor do mundo ## Foda-se o slash a varios outros exelentes guitarristas nessa porra de mundo

  • Buckethead please teach me !

  • Its amazing how he's able to play that while standing... Slash had to slide on his knees during the "most difficult" solos, that makes 'em easier

  • creative guitarist always ready

  • All of Buckethead videos are starting to get great viewing figures. ABOUT TIME! people are starting to realise what a genius this guy really is.

  • How can one man play something so simple and make sound so good..the intro played on one string...haha.

  • @furbiscuit916 impeccable timing

  • at 0:05 does he do kinda a head bang?

  • @1962trex He was taken aback by his own music.. even buckethead himself is not immune.

  • Night of the (Porno)-Slunk

  • wheres the FUCKING EPIC button ?

  • @TheGOTH13 Have you tried clicking the bucket?

  • @SleyerTheRogue hell zhea! too bad it stops the vid ;c

  • @Bassbait hehe many thumbs i see first time lol

  • At 0:26 the camera starts headbanging lol

  • BH can rip Da' KordZ But .... What does he have against Popeye's Fried Chicken?

  • @whitegrey50 Popeye's Fried Chicken killed his father. And raped his mother. And poured sugar in his grandmother's gas tank. Ever since, his allegiance has been with the Colonel.

  • There are so many things that I can't explain how they make me feel throughout the video. 4:39 he does that little slide that made me jizz a little bit.

  • Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier!

  • best guitar player period

  • 0:05 nottingham lace

  • @Eternalover78 Wow, well done Sherlock!! lol

  • Too good for a deadman

  • "who's this guitar-playing sonsa bitch? ", is a question common asked.

On his head a bucket of chicken bones, on his face a plaster mask.

He's the bastard son of a preacher man, on the town he left a stain.

They made him live in a chicken house to try to and hide the shame.

He was born in a coop, raised in a cage. children fear him, critics rage.

He's half alive, he's half dead. folks just call him buckethead

  • @Evanthezombie :) excellent man... well done! too funny,..yet sooo true! :)

  • @guitargup

he didn't come up with this .. there's a song with that lyrics.

  • @Evanthezombie i don't know what your source is, but in my opinion the lyric here is "placid mask" as in "having a calm appearance or nature". that's just what i hear, i havent checked if there is an "official" posting of lyrics somewhere

  • @defibrillator33 either that or plastic.

  • @Evanthezombie plastic mask!

  • @Evanthezombie fucking awesome comment!

  • @iHeartR0ck1 its the theme of buckethead you can listen to it by hearing primus *buckethead* OZZFEST 1999

  • @Evanthezombie Would be epic if true. But one doesn't learn playing the guitar like that in a chickenhouse..

  • @c0rnelisg One of his teachers was Paul Gilbert.

  • @CapnCheezburger I know. I was referring to someone elses comment..

  • @c0rnelisg I know it was a reply to someone else's, but your comment was sort of vague, so I didn't think you knew.

  • @CapnCheezburger Oh i see, sorry for that. I tried to say that what the other guys says: "made him live in a chickenhouse" couldn't make Buckethead play like he does, because indeed he had lessons from Gilbert.

  • @Evanthezombie

    he's a psycchooooooooo

  • Do you see the little smile in his face? I love it so muchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......hmmm:-))

    Can't get enough from it.......

  • @MacFart88 nope when?

  • I love his nonchalant look when he solos. Probably easier to achieve in a mask, but even so...

  • /watch?v=QrZFyN49LZU check out my buckethead inspired instrumental.

  • If you just watch his fingers on the neck....it looks like a giant spider running around his guitar....lol....BH is amazing

  • @DorxII,would you consider yourself being for me or against me if you had to?because I think youre superduper.

  • wasnt finished..he or she probably never goes to shows cuz if he did,he would see me..haha for you lil man.and to FuckinSIayer, your rad and youre fucking cool in my eyes

  • @lonesalcornbug

  • @megadan429 how do you now lol

  • You can dislike Buckethead. But you DO NOT dislike Night of the Slunk!!!

  • i wonder if he only has one bucket or if he has multiple ones that he wears depending on the day

  • @MetallicAhead69 he used to wear the KFC FUNERAL bucket, but the past couple of times ive seen him preform it has been a plain white bucket.

  • I wonder if the russians use this for torture...probably isn't working

  • Dude I was seriously just sitting here for about a minute thinking what do I wanna listen to... Metal?... ehh.... Classical? maybe...

Then I thought Buckethead.. He plays everything

    So here I am.

  • the lowest possible rating i would give buckethead out of 10 would be12, hail the bucket

  • Breaking Benjamin' sucks but that is a story for another day!!!!

  • a new disease is detected!! butterfingers... it makes ppl accidentally click the dislike button on epic bands like Metallica, BLS, Breaking Benjamin and now it's starting to affect Buckethead... unfortunately, it has an opposite effect on Justin "Jackass" Beiber songs... no cure is yet found but metal scientists are working around the clock to discover it... :D
