THIS is how the whole album should've gone. Such a waste of Pineda's vocal talent to have such a fast paced album. This was the ONLY song to really fully utilize it. I found the album kinda meh. Too hard and too fast paced for Journey's good ol' classic 80s power ballad sounds. The sounds were kinda melancholic rather than happier, but I guess that's part of the harder rock/grungier metal sound. Revelation was better.
at ravacampbell your answer to your idiotic question ``Arnel wrote most of "To Whom It May Concern" and it was finished by Schon and Cain In another departure from the band's usual working process, the recording of Eclipse was quite spontaneous. "We didn't rehearse the material before we recorded, as we had done in past album projects," said Cain. "We were going for impromptu, live performances....``
@ENAMOURED2020 are you a disgruntled Journey fan who is surprised that the band has embraced new age philosophies and doctrines of witchcraft?...newsflash...the band was always into witchcraft....most mainstream musicians are...so they haven't changed...they just came out of the closet....symbol of the scarab..."all of the heros have gone east of eden" from frontiers..."red 13"..."revelation"...only a select few are meant to know what master this band truly serves...still kick ass music though:)
@2012POKER I don't care if a person loves Arnel...I think he's a great singer...but anyone who claims this to be the best lineup journey ever had, loses all credibility...let's keep it real...I'll even leave the perry debate out of this.....Deen Castronovo acknowleges Steve Smith as being the "master"....so right there, the current drummer of the band already blew your opinion out of the water...Even Neal Schon acknowledged that Steve Perry brought the band it's success...and he hates him

@myangelshane well i don't know about not marketable but check out the rating above as of this moment: 20 like and 0 dislikes. That should tell us something.
@DragonessRocks yeah .. who cares about being marketable or not, i like it too .. when you listen to it closely, it's like Arnel is talking to you and sending his message.. :)
spent last hour listening to this album. For me songs like "Resonate" are what make this album strong.

This is a hard sell here in America with so many '"our version of Christianity or nothing!" type people but I like the song nonetheless.

@DragonessRocks yeah, but have you read the reviews about the song? i think an OPM-like sound song is not so marketable in other countries ..
