  • This video is a true representation of a real 4b/4c texture. Beautiful kinks and coils.

  • Wow, the camerawork is awesome! I am still transitioning from a perm (last perm was August 2011 - plan to BC in May) and am trying to prepare myself for what my natural hair will be like. I think it will look very similar to yours except I have various hair types throughout my head, so not sure what it will be in the end. But this video was extremely helpful to me. Wish me luck

  • @rcp6326 Best of luck to you. The main thing is to be patient and gentle with your hair. Don't have any expectations, just learn as you go.

  • OMG!! That's exactly how my hair is. My hair twin right here in CT, lol. Great vid

  • @vudaej OMG, what part of CT are you located?

  • My hair is like this. I have 4b/4c combination hair. Those little coils equal 4c hair. 4b is the zig zaggy hair pattern with no curl.

  • This video helped me a lot to understand my hair texture. I won't fully know my texture until I'm fully natural, but I remember my hair texture being 4b maybe 4c when I was a child (before I was introduce to relaxers). I started my transition and cut my hair approx 1 in all around. My ends are relaxed. Wish me good luck!!!!

  • Jesus be a fence, that is my hair..4b ok what next?? Help!!

  • @sunneshynejdm LOL, Patience and gentle handling. You should also read The Science of Black Hair. It's a great resource. Best of luck

  • Both my son and I have 4b hair. I keep his in a cute little afro =)

  • I thought I had 4c i def have 4b

  • YEP! My hair type, You are beautiful, btw.

  • @love2luvcurt Awww, thanks so much

  • YAAAAAAAYYYY!!!

  • @malysahd Are you a 4B/4C also?

  • What products do you use?

  • Thank you so much for the video.

  • My hair is like yours

  • @Niafloda it looks like 3c to me,according to the chart 3b is more zig zag than coiled. beautiful either way

  • Great video! VERY informative & the quality is amazing too. If you dont mind me asking, what kind of camera do you use? Thanks for the helpful video♥♥

  • @liveloveGlam Thanks for watching & for the kind comment. It's a Canon Vixia HF200 HD.

  • Finally someone has with hair like mine except I have curl definition but ony when wet but as it drys the curls shrink to tightly to be seen on comb. I love your hair and mine.

  • @Forever21plus Thank you.

  • I've finally found my hair twin! I have the exact same hair type. My hair is 4b, fine, tightly coiled and easily gets tangled.

  • @ebochica yup, sounds like my hair alright, LOL.

  • Your hair is truly gorgeous. When you tug on it to show the texture, it looks really soft. Have you heard of LOIS hair-typing system? This video was incredibly informative. I have a different hair texture, but I am forever dusting single-strand knots!

  • @AfreensHair I have only vaguely heard about the LOIS system. Is it more accurate than Andre Walkers? Thanks so much for commenting.

  • @CandidAnn Personally, I find both methods to be somewhat helpful in their own way. It’s easier to just say 4 to quickly describe my hair but LOIS can be more specific. Neither will predict how your hair will react to protein, henna, or other products though, so in that way, they didn’t help me. If you have more than two types on your head, all that hair-typing can be bothersome. It’s easier to just say “tightly coiled”.

  • @AfreensHair Tightly coiled describes my hair perfectly, LOL!

  • Finally, someone with my hair type!!!!!

  • @EbonyVegan LOL, I hear that. I don't see many people with our hair type/texture making vids. I really wish RusticBeauty was still making vids. More hair vids to come, but right now I'm wigin' it for the winter.

  • Beautiful hair!!!

  • @amoremusica Thank you very much, I'm still getting use to it :-/ & learning a lot along the way :-)

  • Do you consider your strands fine or coarse?

  • @AfriPrincess411 My strands are definitely very fine.

  • very interesting, thanks for sharing.

  • @ebonyrose316266 Thanks for watching.

  • I have hair just like that! I just cut it all off today and have a "TWA". I have never gone more then 3-4 months without a relaxer in my hair, so I am interested to see how my hair will be when it grows out.

  • @Musicallyungifted Whoo hooo, Congratulations on doing to Big Chop. Do you have a case of "I can't keep my hands out of it? LOL, I know I did. There is so much information on YT. Enjoy your natural hair journey and Thanks so much for commenting.

  • Great vid! Your hair looks so soft!

  • @MsRitaBoop Thanks so much. When it's wet like that, it is soft, but don't let it dry without any conditioner... oooo lawd, LOL.

  • so is your hair dry or damp in the vidd?? Great job btw =)

  • @Sheacutey My hair is very damp in this vid. I washed & towel dried it so that I would not have any water dripping down my face and that's it. For the close up shots of my hair, I simply squeezed the hair with a paper towel right before shooting. Thanks for the compliment.

  • Great Video

  • @IMaHARDhabit2break Thank you.

  • your hair is beautiful! what kind of camera did you use to make this video, how did you get the closeup of your texture to look so clear? I can never do that with mine! I have very thick 3c/4a hair strands and i love the fact that its thick and less prone to breaking but i think the fine hair that most 4bs and 4cs have is beautiful, because mine tends to look and feel like wire and yours looks soo fluffy and soft. its just gorgeous!

  • @xxmuzicchickxx Thanks. I'm using a Canon Vixia HF200. In addition to using a good camera, you need good lighting. Look into continuous lighting with either an umbrella or a softbox. I hope this helps.

  • @CandidAnn thank you--i will definitely look into what that is. Im doing my first video tutorial very soon!

  • love the vid and your hair! i think your vid is the first i've watched with a whole head of the same texture! i'm working with like 3 over here...lol i don't like how SSNs feel either.

  • @NotoriousLYNappy1 Thanks for commenting. I'm so use to having the same texture that I did not know there could be anything different, LOL. BTW... your curls are adorable.

  • @CandidAnn

    Thanks lovely lady :)

  • this is a wonderful video!!!! I have very similar hair to yours and I feel that your presentation was fantastic!!!! I have been fully natural for a year now and I too am still learning a lot about 4B hair as well! =)

  • @yvette994 Thanks so much for your kind comment. In addition to learning about my hair, I'm also learning a lot about YouTube. Please feel free to PM me any helpful information you come across on our hair type. Thanks again!
