Norwalk is awesome! I like East Norwalk better than South Norwalk though. I feel SONO is overrated. There's only one block of restaurants, bars, etc. I think it does have the potential to be more like Blue Back Square in West Hartford, in fact if it ever gets like that, it would be WAY better as it would be in Norwalk by the beach, on the Metro North line near NYC....
@Titoritus "There's only one block of restaurants, bars, etc." I give a fuck. It's all about how many squirrels a town has and what they have to say. You can't judge a town by how many restaurants and bars they have. You must pay attention to the details bro ham.
@MRTUBE1224 When I was stationed there I lived in an apartment on Main Ave above a big liquor store called World Of Beverage. We're going back to around 1989 and my rent was $920.00 a mnonth , but my Military BAQ check covered a good portion of the rent. If it's more expensive now I don't see how anyone can survive on the average paying job. But I loved Norwalk too , especially the east norwalk Vte's park area, it had an old seaport charm about it.
Thanks for posting this. I lived in East Norwalk for a few years but moved away eight years ago and have not been back there since. You recorded almost the entire route I used to take when walking to work each day.
I've been wanting to see the area again, but have just not had the chance to return since leaving. It looks very much like I remember it to be.
Thank you for this. That is the exact neighborhood I grew up in, and now I live in California. I miss it a lot sometimes!
