  • i have a tufted eared marmosed and got him about 3 weeks ago , and he came from a different owner , i no it will take some time to get used to me , but i was wondering how long ???

  • @SwayMoves when he's about 4 months. i got mine when he was 6 weeks and thats how long in took mine

  • sorry I'm asking so many questions but i really want a monkey not just to have 1 as a pet but to help one out, i want to adopt 1...anyway, is it hard to get a license? does it take a long time? and do you have to be a certain age to get a license, if so how old? again sorry about all the questions but thank you so much for answering! I'm subscribing

  • @makookoo12345 its very easy to get a license and you'll get the license as soon as your wildlife department reviews ur application and age depends on where ur located.

  • can you get a license for one? and what about the capuchin monkey?

  • @makookoo12345 yes, you can apply for a license for any monkey

  • Lastly, almost all primate owners I know who start out with a Marmoset typically end up with a Capuchin Monkey or Spider Monkey in the long run... Marmosets are hardly monkeys in my opinion.. lol But they are certainly cute and pretty easy to manage!!

  • Another thing, I babysit a Spider Monkey named Emma several times each year (she is now 10 years old) and hasn't challenged her owner for over 5 years now... She has never "turned' on her. Marmosets are very unintelligent and are much more likely to "turn" on you then a Capuchin or Spider Monkey. When raised correctly any primates can be an excellent companion. And just for you information - you really need to have diapers on your Marmoset as it helps with "dominance" issues as they age...

  • "The worst type you can get are Capuchin and Spiders".... I really beg to differ. Marmosets are much more aggressive than Capuchins and Spiders... I have done a lot of work with both Capuchins and Spiders and they are much more social and stable then Marmosets and Tamarins are... Marmosets and Tamarins are more one person pets where Capuchins and Spiders do well with the whole family. Not sure where you are getting your information from...

  • can you get one in massachusetts?

  • never meant to be a pet!

  • can u have one in florida

  • @TheLickityslit with a permit

  • a capution monkey will NOT attack you unless you dont respect it and you have to be smart to have one and am willing to pay 1000$ dollars for it i would love it and respect it so i dont care what you say Capution Monkeys wont hurt you like i said you have to respect it and what i mean by respect it is by if it did something bad dont punish it by hitting it just say NO thats a bad monkey and they feel disappointed and never do it again monkeys are really smart

  • @SlyRocks98789 Actually, monkeys hate the work "no". You need to use a firm voice and talk them out of situations... that works much better. You are right though... Capuchins and Spiders don't randomly turn on their owners... it is always the owners fault if this were to happen. If your monkey has trouble deciphering whether you are dominant or "alpha" over them then yes they will challenge you until you assert this. Read about how they are in the wild... they are no different in captivity!

  • Can I get a pet monkey if I live in L.A?

  • @MrNewView How do u know so much about monkeys, and Does Shane Mosley have the right kind of Monkey? watch?v=52yHya5_6OI&feature=player_embedded

  • @BronerBeast research and experience. on my free time i just reserch about monkeys because im just obsessed with them. and shane mosley has a white throat capuchin. white throat capuchins aren't really pet material, but if u wanted a capuchin, i'd say get a brown capuchin. for some reason, brown capuchins are just more tame

  • @MrNewView It's not that Black Cap (Tufted) Capuchins are more tame than White Faced Capuchins... It's just that they have a much more stable hierarchy in the wild. They are the same in captivity as they are in the wild. White Faced Capuchins don't necessarily make worse companions, it is just more likely that you will be challenged for "alpha status" more often throughout their lifetime then you would by a Black Cap (Tufted) Capuchin. :)

  • @ForeverPrimatePets did you get my inbox from 3 months ago?

  • will dogs and cats hate it

  • Only marmosets are the better monkeys. Even though I want a capuchin and a squirrel monkey :(

  • Marmosets can eat grapes just fine...

  • @kevint89 it gives them the shitts

  • are monkeys legal in Illinois

  • @Tyjoe2000222 yes, and im pretty sure you dont need a license or permit for one in Illinois

  • @MrNewView where did you buy your monkey

  • @1999snowboy he said in the video poggianimalhouse

  • are they legal in florida

  • @RYANROCS2616 you need a permit in florida

  • Dude that is so awesome and cute I want one I wonder if theyre legal in california...and how much they cost...

  • If a chimp is 7 times stronger than a human, how strong is an orangutan?

  • hes so cute!!! whats his name?

  • Do they get maggots because i had 6 sugargliders and they need fruit, yogurt and nuts and they were nocturnal so will they?

  • bet you have got rid of the monkey. ha ha

  • @MrNewView Apparently I've heard that monkeys take extreme amounts of dedication, in which you constantly need to be there for them and nurture them, basically the same amount of dedication as a human baby. I was just wondering if you could clarify that between species; using your monkey as an example on the dedication because I've done my research and that was a major put off (don't get me wrong i'm not lazy, it's just i don't have that time in my day to be there 24/7).

  • are you sure marmoset monkeys don't randomly attack thier owners after sexual maturity?

  • @Qofdeath 100%

  • @Qofdeath They don't typically randomly attack there owners... They only do this if they are not raised correctly and have trouble deciphering whether you are truly "alpha" over them or not - then they will have dominance issues...

  • Monkeys don't make good pets. They make AWESOME pets. I visited a capuchin once that groomed me for 2 straight hours! I've never had any female that excited about me.

  • hi so im 14 years old and

want a monkey ive been learning about

them for a while i knows everthing about them

but my mum dosent know one thing about them and i only

have £2,700 saved up but i said i'll get a

part time job till i make more money for it

    should i get one?

  • @TheAdelemartin if u think u'll be committed enough

  • @TheAdelemartin If you're 14 years old and manage to save all the money for your monkey yourself, I'd say you have the dedication it takes to adopt and care for one. :)

  • @TheAdelemartin mos defenitly they are great pets..

  • who spends that kinda of money on a lil monkey like that

  • to everyone waiting for the more info about my monkey's care, im not going to make another video about my monkey. i might make another channel on exotic animals though and do multiple videos on an animal's care like my monkey. I'll also be talking about if the animal makes a good pet. but im only doing the channel if enough people think i should

  • cute accent, where are you from?

  • 04:47: OMG don't say euthanize, it reminds me of my beloved Weighted Companion Cube.

  • HOW THE FUCK DID U AFFORD THAT?!?!?!?!?!?

  • @imnothuman334 i became a male prostitute, makes good money

  • @MrNewView what does that mean ??

  • @MrNewView Are you kidding??? lololollll

  • i love monkeys.

  • not good man...find a dog

  • dude i love that thing? how do you get these?

  • toughs will destroy you!!

  • Where did you get your monkey?

  • How much do they cost?

  • hey man not trying to rush you still but when are you going to make that video of care, the cage, and all that stuff

  • @0skaterhunter0 soon, lol

  • What r some other monkeys that make good pets

  • @SwagSwagSwagBASED tamarin and squirrel

  • Please message me I would like to speak with you about monkeys - I think its great you are trying to educate the pulblic, but I think you need to learn more about different species before saying they are bad companions....I am not trying to be mean I would love to talk, I have owned 10 monkeys, and a lesser ape...I also rescue monkeys once in a while, please contact me. :)

  • Message me. I'm really intrested in getting one and I want more info

  • heres some questions. 1 is it legal to own in colorado 2. how much did he cost 3. how did you get a permit. and 4. where did you get it

  • @VideoMasher3000 1. yes, but if u say its for non-pet use then you can keep it with a license. 2. $2,300 3. some breeders give you permits if you buy their monkey 4. from michael poggi at poggianimalhouse. com and he gives you a permit

  • @MrNewView ok, last thing i called someone about the legality and they say they are illegal. how do i make it so where i can have it

  • @VideoMasher3000 heres some answers 1. USE GOOGLE

  • Do you have to have the cage? Can you let them roam the house like a puppy or a kitten?

  • @Mopoloton sure, but your monkey will be less tame and you wont be able to hold and cuddle with it. you also have to keep away wires and anything that it can chew on and kill it

  • Dog isn't good enough huh ?

  • That monkey isn't that smart though

  • @mrpain708 its smart enough to know you and be protective of you and thats really all that matters unless u want a show animal. so, what would u rather have? a smart one that can kick ur ass or a dumb one that loves you and would never hurt you

  • do gorillas make gd pets ;p

  • @CrazieClown1 probably not because they're not a common exotic pet and they're endangered

  • Thumbs up if u saw the monkey scratch his ass during the video!

  • as long as the monkey isnt big enough to tear peoples faces off.

  • Aww, he is so cute! I can see why friend wants a monkey now! :

  • Awwh! He's sooo cute!! <3

  • thanks man

  • All right thanks!!! And I know I have asked a lot but if it's not to much of problem could u maybe make a video on how big the cage should be what should be in it, and stuff like that!?! It's all up to u tho thanks again

  • @reptles np, i love talking to people about monkeys

  • Thank you very much!!!! But now there is another road block, what do u think is better a marmoset or a tamarin monkey?!? My meaning of better is not aggressive, not as expensive, easy to care for, more loving and all that kind of stuff? If u can answer that or if u want to answer that

  • @reptles i think a marmoset is better. i know they are cheaper and more loving and they both aren't aggressive and need the same care

  • Where did you get the money...

  • where do you get it?

  • Hey man I was going to get a capuchin monkey last year but changed my mind So i need help convincing my parents to let me get a marmoset monkey!!! And I here they get really mean when there at sexual maturity is this true and do the through there poop at ur face I here they do that too? Plzzz help with the convincing and answer the questions!! Keep up the great work

  • @reptles marmoset monkeys will never be mean when it hits sexual maturity unlike other monkeys . they don't throw their poop around either. i think some things said about monkeys are bull shitted. i told some kid somewhere in the comments how to convince his parents. go look for it. DONT forget to train it if u get one. when it turns 2 months old, the next 2-3 weeks will be crucial for training.

  • @MrNewView thanks soooo much so i might be able to get on next summer awesome that was a big help

  • since you are a kid, how do you have time to be with your monkey? I really want one but since i go to school im afraid i wont have time for it :( oh and how do u get a permit??

  • @4evaferrets thats why i got it in the summer because it needs you for a few hours a day when its little. youll need to hold, care, and train the monkey for about 2 months now that the monkeys older, i have to feed it before school then take the food out and clean its cage after.

  • @MrNewView Thanks and when your bottle feeding the monkey how often do you feed it? and what formula do you use??

  • @4evaferrets I feed him every 4-5 hours from 9 a.m. - 11 p.m. and just got some formula from babies r us

  • Having a pet monkey is extremely irresponsible. PLEASE DO NOT GET A MONKEY AS A PET. If you love animals, you should help them NOT hurt them. Donate, volunteer, or educate yourself. Owning a monkey as a pet is stressful and dangerous, as well as irresponsible- many monkey species are becoming endangered because of the pet trade.

  • were did u get him and how much did you pay

  • @MHCCpranks i got him from poggi animal house and paid $2,300

  • You are so lucky. My dad won't let me get a freaking monkey because his friend has one and it slaps people, and throws stuff at people! I hate that. I have 2ferrets and really want a monkey..How can I convince my dad?

  • @KaitlynMalinda first you should find out what kind of monkey your dad's friend has which is most likely a medium sized monkey like a capuchin. then inform ur dad how there's different types of monkeys and the best one to have as a pet is marmoset. then do ur own research and convince ur dad that marmosets are the way to go. thats how i basically convinced my parents. u have to do a lot of research though and have a lot of commitment. u also need to have time for it and give it proper training.

  • @MrNewView Thanks ! Thanks to you my dad said I could get one if I can pay for it and take care of it. If I don't take care of it it's going to the exotic shelter... (Don't worry that won't happen! ) Thank you again, I love you !HAHA:D

  • @KaitlynMalinda No problem, just glad I could help :)

  • lmfao u got a really cute one, wered u get it :p

  • @akamaster09 poggi animal house

  • @MrNewView and do you live in the united states because i think someone said he only ships monkeys in united states?

  • @akamaster09 ya and im not sure about that, you may want to check the website

  • i wanna buy that monkey but i live in canada and im not sure if they are allowed to be in canada for pet purposes if anyone knows anything if they are legal or how i can stil get a money like this one in canada pls feel free to live me a coment, ITS GREATLY APPRECEATED.

  • @akamaster09 Well I know monkeys are prohibited in both Toronto and Brampton. There's not much info out there if they're illegal in canada so you should contact your local humane society on it

  • IT'S SO CUTE IM GONNA DIE

  • is a squirrel monkey a good pet?

  • @themen123424 there suppose to be kind of dumb monkeys and gender matters because males squirrel monkeys will probably try to dominate female humans, but i'm saying this off my research. i cant tell you if they do because i've never had one. they're also suppose to be protective of their area and will attack which is why they're one of the most common monkeys at jungle friends

  • how much would it cost?

  • @123icebuggy it dipends what kind 2000 to 8000 in sometime more
