@babymaureen386 There are many ways to make your 4wd goes fast. Having a fast motor is one, but I believe having a great appreciation of the set up of the car is far more important. I have seen many people trying to get their cars to go fast by installing outrages motors, but only see their cars flying off the track. If you want a fast motor, get the Audley V1 motor for starter. The problem with custom motor is that there is no right or wrong, it depends on many factors... no one size fit all..
Tamiya brands make motors with stable torque and stable top speed, if you want to go faster use AC and Kyosho brands and use pure silver for the winding, crazy top speed crazy torque but is pretty unstable
@TMPG2009 Agree. But I don't think the wire is made of silver, as silver is not a good conductor as copper. I think the wire insulated with a substance in silver colour.
@vanquish008 can u guys tell me where i can buy the fastest motor? willing to pay, i need to kick my couz butt.. lol need the websites and some tracks. thanks in advance
I use a hyper dash 2 motor and a gp rechargable batteries...any advice on how i can make the car run faster?...cause i'm also concertrating on the stability as well..
@vanquish008 I'm running on a 4:1 i think gear ratio, i'm using rubber wide tyres but not sire wat's the measurement... i run on plastic rollers and their fixed on the sides of both front and back bumbers.....
@MetallicBlack86 Is it a Pro chassis? You can get some inspirations from the Tamiya monthly journal on Tamiya's japanese website. I am happy to ping you the link if you are interested. Did you notice the upgrade example on the box too? I would suggest you get some more parts, get a track (or go to a nearby track) and start experimenting. You might want to bring a stopwatch too :)
@GojidSSJ2 It was based on the Audley V1 motor parts, so it didn't really take long to get it up to this speed. However trying to make it go even faster was a much harder step to take. Any tips?
@ashcat9999 Well spotted. It was running with standard 9mm ball race rollers with 105mm total width front (Tamiya standard), so too much side movement and rolling resistance. Swapping the rollers to wider rollers with a 105+mm width will help (not Tamiya standard).
trycycle vs tamiya 56 km/h!you got owned tricycle!

@LuvsMadel hey do you know how to build a mini 4wd motors? can u send me a link where i can learn how? i want to build one myself. thanks in advance.
kurbiezy1 6 months ago
very smooth, but why limit yourself to the ms chassis if you're not going to use a standard tamiya motor? You could go much faster with a trike.

How long had you seasoned the motor?
GojidSSJ2 2 years ago
About a few weeks I think. It's a matter of learning how others did it, applying it and experimenting with it. Give it a try, it's fun! :)

It was a modified tamiya hyper dash pro motor with Audley V1 motor parts.

erm is plasma dash faster or still your modified hyperdash?
PeirCElibaba 2 years ago
the modified hyperdash is faster, but only if it is in good shape and paired with good batteries.
vanquish008 2 years ago

ashcat9999 2 years ago
