they wrote all these songs in the northwest, they formed there and really got no credit for being the amazing band they are. After Seattle they tried calling Portland home and that didn't feel right either, so Ben asked the band to move to south carolina with him. Wherever you think they might be from doesn't really matter at all, cause they are all unbelievably talented song writers and musicians, whos influence isn't limited to one or the other
