Nehru did a blunder by going to UN instead of defending kashmir from Pak attack. Had he listened to Sardar Patel and allowed the Indian army to finish of the job of kicking intruders out of the whole Kashmir, we wouldn't have lost half of kashmir. Shiekh Abdullah was another hero Nehru did not treat well. Kashmir and our Kashmiris are most important to India's unity and diversity and hope that we learn from the mistakes of Nehru.

I have enormous respect for Lord Mountbatten! I believe that only a Britisher, like Mountbatten, could have the honor and dignity to see his country's 'enemy', as human beings with civil liberties and rights. Nehru did a blunder by going to UN instead of defending kashmir from Pak attack. Had he listened to Sardar Patel and allowed the Indian army to finish of the job of kicking intruders out of the whole Kashmir, we wouldn't have lost half of kashmir. Shiekh Abdullah was another hero Nehru did not treat well. Kashmir and our Kashmiris are most important to India's unity and diversity and hope that we learn from the mistakes of Nehru.

But Pakistan refused to retreat. So Self Determination can not held on a part of J&K. In UN resolution first of all Pakistan should RETREAT from all occupied areas, Then India control all areas & then referendum by India. But Pakistan refused to return all areas to India. So Assembly Of J&K accepted accession in India.

Kashmiri pandits originally were from Iran (Zoroastrians) and were the FIRST to settle in kashmir. They adopted Hinduism (religion of Kashyap Rishi) and hence named Kashmir after him.
Sanskrit is supposed to have been developed in Kashmir by Pandits.
Muslim invaders came much later and converted the majority into Islam.
Hence, kashmiri Pandits and KashMuslims are SAME ethnicity.
Kashmir belongs to Kashmiris.

I have enormous respect for Lord Mountbatten! I believe that only a Britisher, like Mountbatten, could have the honor and dignity to see his country's 'enemy', as human beings with civil liberties and rights. His involvement in the independence movement was seminal along with Gandhi, Nehru, and Azad's.
