Assalamu alaikum, Thank you so much for these videos that help a non-arabic speaking person learn how to pray properly with the pronunciation. Especially, that I have a hard time memorizing, your breakdown of verses and repetition have helped me greatly.
Salam,my dear brothers and sisters.I have read your comments and would like to clear up any misunderstandings........Only at the beginning when you start your prayer raising both hands to your ears and saying allahu akbar then placing your right hand over the left above your navel you repeat the above...The dua to my understanding is not compulsary but it is good to say...Inshallah i hope we all learn to perfect our prayers....So again,it is only said at the beginning, before the first al fatihah
shukran so much for making this.its a BIG help for me coz im having problems with my diction...

Mashallah! Very helpful. Really need to get better at pronouncing my prayers in Arabic. For now, I say parts in Arabic and parts in English.

As-Salamu Alaykum. This is an optional dua at the very beginning of the prayer in the 1st rakat only.
During the group prayer, this dua is why there is a short pause between Allahu akbar and al-fatihah. The dua is not necessary for beginners.
