0:20 ..... o_O' That pretty much happened today with me & one of our trombone players,because he didn't know his last set yet. Not pretty. :/ And yes, colorguard members who don't have a clue what they're doing can make everything look pretty crappy. =[ Our CG won 1st place in every competition we went to last year except one, but now our team is ehhh... :-( The work will come,but they need discipline,determination,love for the sport, and non-slacking-off-ness.(lol) This video was funny,though.

They "accidentally" did that to our marching band when we were in the middle of performing. Fortunately, we were in the middle of running front field straight at them. Funnily enough, group of Brass Performers > Football Team.

I've been hit by a flag girl mid solo. Had to march the rest of the performance with one lens.

i dont think flag people is a good idea for any band either.

Theres a very fine line between good and band. If they are good then its badass and it looks amazing. However at the same time it can be really shitty and almost downright emberrasing to watch. No offence to flag people.(whatever you call them)

Colorguard I guess. To be fair, the girl was a freshman and it was early on in the season.

They can be good, and add some real emphasis to the music. It gives people something to look at other than a group of kids sweating their asses off in a hot uniform. Plus, they can act out various parts of the show. Like in my senior year, we had a girl dressed up as a matador and she was attacking the drumline(the bull). Plus, in DCi, well... they're just wow.

in our show this year we had jail bars as props, and apparently the band kids (i'm colorguard) sometime have problems rolling them in the turf. So i was backwards marching and i didn't realize there was a prop who had a late start right behind me! i ended up busting out one of the pvc pipes and landing right on the pvc pipe on the ground on my butt (ouch). but luckily i was able to get to my dot on time :) and also very lucky we weren't practicing with our flags that day! ha

when I fell one time (this year) I was running backwards on my platforms because our drill had me and a few others running backwards, well during a contest, I slipped backwards over a flipping lollypop that was on the field and all you could see was me disappear and re-appear in the video

oh at a football game during pregame, I had something similar happen to me like the dude at the begging of this video. I was conducting the fight song marching backwards and there was a football player's random duffel bag in my path, I tripped backwards over it...and I'm the only drum major....But i was marching correctly so I was able to save myself from falling on my butt. XD it was still embarassing though lol!

Siomething similar did happen to a Susaphone player (very large tuba), in the performance, there was a mud puddle and as he was about to pivit the other direction, he fell in the mud instead, which that was the funniest vpart to the show, that and my late pal: LeRoy Harris lost his shoe as well. im in the marching band, and we have it tough. obviously, i play trumpet and while rocking out to "Heartbreaker", my leg twisted, i popped out my knee and i snapped a piece of bone off my kneecap during one of our shows. I had to spend months on crutches and undergo surgery. Its been over 5 months, and im still not better.
