What's WRONG with all of you? It's been over two years since this happened, and people still crack wheelchair jokes about Pierce. In an article the doctor said he brought out the wheelchair because Pierce heard a pop and his knee was sore, so the doctor thought it was an ACL problem. It's not like Pierce could say, "No, I don't want a wheelchair" and risk what he thought at the time was a potential serious injury.
You guys have obviously never played sports or even felt sharp pains. Did you know that there can be pains that feel like you broke your knee but after you examine it was nothing... People feel these all the time and I'm sure a doctor would agree with me.
Everyone is saying he faked it, but why in the world would he fake an injury during a playoff game, that took him out of the game for a bit? That would risk his team falling way behind without one of their main stars...There would be no point to faking it.

Paul Pierce is one of the most underrated players in the NBA and one of the top 5 most clutch players in history. Kobe and Pierce both stayed loyal to their teams even in the tough years, even though for Pierce it was a lot longer. They both deserve their rings.

He knows good and well that he did an acting job and that injury wasn't as bad as he makes it. I've been elbowed in the head and finished the shift with blood dripping over my face. The only times I remember stopping playing was once being hit in the eye, and another time a mild concussion. Paul Pierce was being a little bitch here and if you want to say anything else, you're just making excuses.

I thought it was ankle tendonitis, I taped it and when I raced I was able to get through the first 1000m of the mile fine and then my stride turned into a limp the rest of the way. Do you want me to upload the fucking x-rays or send you my workout log? Congrats on getting into Pre-Med, good luck getting past Physiological Chemistry.

What's WRONG with all of you? It's been over two years since this happened, and people still crack wheelchair jokes about Pierce. In an article the doctor said he brought out the wheelchair because Pierce heard a pop and his knee was sore, so the doctor thought it was an ACL problem. It's not like Pierce could say, "No, I don't want a wheelchair" and risk what he thought at the time was a potential serious injury.

Everyone is saying he faked it, but why in the world would he fake an injury during a playoff game, that took him out of the game for a bit? That would risk his team falling way behind without one of their main stars...There would be no point to faking it.
I think he just overreacted at first and realized later it wasn't that bad or the pain went away quickly allowing him to come back out.
