  • well im 12 and got a new 22 for my birthday and i found a better use for my videogames....TARGETS!!!!!

  • well oviously youve had practice

  • i bless the rains down in africa....

  • Cool vid!

  • @TheDevilboy67 I know right

  • the reason their not staying up is cause your shooting the target too close

  • Wow cool rifles.... Where do you buy them? And how much do they cost?

  • good video

  • The safety is not pulling back the hammer until u are ready to shoot and if u pull it back and don't shoot u just hold the hammer firmly squeeze the trigger and let the hammer down slowly so yes there is a saftey

  • I LOVE GOING SHOOTING only thing is we don't have a membership to anyplace so its really expensive

  • i got 3 193something .22sand shoot wonderfully

  • i got 3 193something .22sand shoot wonderfully

  • the video is not short!

  • i shoot 50 cals and still love my .22 rifles.

  • sweet im gettin a ruger 10/22 for my birthday. any reccomendations on what model?

  • NUST THE SAME AS MINE BUT IM 11

  • nice video, and nice .22's i will thumb this vid up

  • awesome shooting man! I'd love to see more from you. subscribed (:

  • cool i have the same 2 Rifle's

  • Try using a air rifle for that target

  • Cool!!

  • Is that made by j.c. higgins?

  • Works dramatically better when the target isnt backwards.

  • semmes like those targets are alittle to light...

  • 00:39 lol dont drop the gun

  • kid likes his .22 so much he busted a nut on the barrel

  • nice aim. keep at it. dont worry about what others want to do. lol. videos games over shoting a real gun lol.. wlel best of luck :)

  • I'm planning to buy a Ruger 22/10 semi rifle, as soon as when i recieve a licence in Canada.

My friend who has experienced in hunting told me that 22 caliber rifles are best for small hunting, such as rabbits and partridge huntings. I'm doing some reserch, but does anyone know why 22 caliber rifles are so popular? Also, which type of guns is better in its quality, price, and versatility?

  • @BeaverFevers there mainly so popular as 1) ammo is cheap, 2) there not very loud (no ear plugs required) 3) little to no recoil therefore good for kids 2learn with and not be overpowerd, 4) because most people learn with .22 it brings back old memories and nostalga always wins in the end LOL

  • Out of my whole collection this is my favorit gun to shoot.

  • I liked your ruger. can you estimate how much a 10 clip rifle like that would be in the us. Preferable berreta or ruger? and also is it a good first gun for a 15 year old

  • That things a beauty!

  • I offered to take my brother-in-law shooting this weekend. He refused, because he was playing the new Halo game. Sad state of affairs when a kid wants to stay inside and play games instead of shoot a .22 :(

Good for you for working on your skills!

  • @zeppelinesque shit u wanna go shooting man i got about 1000 rounds of 22. nothing can keep me from my gun except my girl in bed hahaha

  • @zeppelinesque im 14 and i alwase shoot my .22

  • @zeppelinesque lol i got into guns because of electronics. luckily it wasnt video games. I'd rather shoot a gun anyday. That's why im getting my first gun in 2 days. I'm only 13 so i have shot a gun but i dont own one.

  • @zeppelinesque Are you... Serious?

  • @zeppelinesque Bro I'm 13 and I'd jump at the opportunity to go shooting any day of the week over playing halo.

  • i would like to shoot those dumb video games. kids need to be outside shooting .22s and not indoors vegging out in front of some violent video game.

  • @zeppelinesque hey zeppeline i'm 13 i've got a savage 22.LR semi-automatic,and a mosin nagant (7.62x54r) I love shooting my guns it is FUN espiecly my 22.,keep on shooting man! :D

  • FUCK i have to be 18 years to buy i gun like that

its not fair, i hate holland

  • @TheBlabla1996 Worse in new Zealand. We have to get our gun license to get a gun like that.

  • @MrGlobecs yes we to, first we must ask it to the goverment and hopfully you get it

but if we have it we must fire minimum 30 rounds i year or your license will be....

    no longer

  • nice riffles i have a remington 550 from 11 1941

  • stop talking and shoot muthah fuckahhh

  • you look like denny hamlin

  • the bullets your shooting arent longrifle dumbass they are 22 mag.!!!!!!!!!

  • Target is backwards!

  • Just the other side of those trees is the rest of the world waiting to educate you.

  • i bet it doesnt shoot 22 magnum

  • god your stupid and know nothin about guns and its called a bullet shells are for a shoth gun

  • how much did you buy that first rifle for?

  • my dad is 74 in his days, it was FINE to shoot a gun up in the air on Memorial day or on the 4th of July

  • i have the same gun and also a remington 12 guage

  • ur a pretty good shot

  • i dont no if its cuz the music but i have a strange feeling this guy died recently

  • andy mckee, nice

  • What kind of ammo are u using in ur 10/22? what distance was that target set out when u used the 10/22?

  • @CousinRandom also how long do u recon it will last, is it of good quality???

  • Thats a kewl target system - especially if it worked a little better. Still neat idea though...

  • @xtraflo I think it would work with a less powerful round because the targets flip up but hit the upper part too hard and bounce back. It is cool though.

  • @xtraflo It was nice to hear from you. It's been so long since I used Youtube Email, that I had a hard time getting on.I'm the 66 year old Fogie who bought the Single Shot .22 when I was about 15 in the 50's. Everything changed in the 60's with all the Assasinations. I guess it is for the better. Criminals will always have guns, so I want one too. My Gun of choice for home defence is a .22 L.R.Semi Auto Rifle.I can get enough shots off to stop a Bull with accuracy at 3 AM .Your Thoughts?

  • @jburawski A couple thoughts come to mind about Home Defense at 3am and .22s

For HD-I prefer S&W .357 - Plenty of stopping power and u can shoot .38s for cheap target practice. .22s though, are underestimated in terms of Lethality. If u are going to use a .22 - I'd be interested in Sub-Sonic cartridges. 1080fps - below the speed of sound-so it'd be hard to hear it when u shoot.

  • my dad just got me that EXACT rifle, $60 used, just had to clean out the barrle till i got to shoot it. and the safety for me on that gun is just pull back that metal peice and dont lock it in place.

  • lol nice job missing a target 20 yards away

  • 1st rifle = no recoil what so ever

  • ak47 is my kind of gun...

  • @luis36702 good luck getting your hands on one

  • NICE VID!

  • Nice video...Ruger 10/22 excellant rifle..have one probably 10,000 rounds, no jams, keep it clean....like the target set up, where can u buy one ??

  • is it a air rifle or a plain rifle

  • @MysuperoXo a proper rifle but they are so small and have almost no recoil

  • @Avatar230594 do you know where i could get one of them guns the first one 2:03

  • @MysuperoXo most likely a gun shop here in Australia you have to be 18 to get one and you need a license and so on but your best bet is a gun shop

  • @MysuperoXo yup, the 1930's. i dont think ive seen one store that sells single shot 22's anymore...

  • Make a clip of were u dont miss faghead

  • does anyone know if .22 wildcat ammo is good ammo

  • safety what the hall is that ???

  • @einarsick a safety is a little switch or button u press on the gun so it doesn't fire if you accidently hit the trigger.

  • @roda2007 haha i know i was just fooling around

  • @einarsick oh lol xD i thought thts what u meant but i just assumed u were serious :P

  • nice rifle im thinking of geting one on my birthday DEC 5 loks like a good beginer rifle

  • @The80732 nahh, get a better one :P

  • Comment removed

  • does anyone know any good bipods that are cheap and that won't damage my barrel

  • @garvinsnow You should get a stock mounted bipod, the barrel mounted ones really throw out the recoil. Stock mounted means doing a little bit of drilling but you wont have to adjust the sites between shooting prone, with the bipod, and shooting standing or sitting etc, without.

  • @theb1g3asy thanks

  • LOVE THIS RIFLE I WISH I HAD IT

  • i have the exact same rifle !

  • the older the better (depending on manufacturer/type and condition of gun)

  • U should let chumly shoot it on pawn stars

  • me and my grandpa put some rounds down range with a semi auto .22

  • I got a savage but that one from 1938, lucky you

  • man that sure does look fun!

  • cool target

  • this is a niger

  • the word 'nigger' wow i feel bad saying it, but i find that offensive and im not black, you may want to go on a deserted island and think about what you said.

  • Can't remember the first song, but it's by Andy McKee

  • @invaderzim908 It is called "africa"

  • @dwarftn1996 THAT'S IT! i shoulda known that i remember now lol

  • im getting one soon

  • I shot a 22 caliber at boyscout camp. They were really cool. I shot one for the first time, and I was really good. They had ones up to $1200.

  • were do you live to be able to shoot in your back yard

  • outside city limits lol

  • Bet the neighbers love u .how do u get a licence for that type of gun(is it the same process as a shotgun licence )

  • dont need one if u are in the usa.

  • lucky ;)

  • It only holds one shell at a time

  • yah you could but thts a pretty small target for iron sights

  • it does not shoot all .22s. no .22 magnum or .22 hornet

  • if u want the target to stay up u should use a smaller round. otherwise the target spins to fast

  • or shoot at a longer distance

  • can it shoot 22 mag

  • Comment removed

  • will a .22 go all the way through you, i just shot my first and it didnt seem powerfull enough but eople said it would

  • depends on the bullet but yes it will most of the time

  • dont touch the barrel, ruins the finish

  • my gun looks so much better than that gun

  • my .22 rifle is a 15shot semi-auto =)

  • i wouldnt want to be shot with a .22, even though its a small caliber, it still does alot of damage. since the round doesnt have very much power it will ricochet inside its target epsically if it strikes bone.

  • hello from ireland.thats a funny rifle,never seen 1 like it b 4.

  • You shouldn't say "just as good". It's "just as well".

  • awesome vid dude!

  • My dad trained me on his 10\22 when I was 7. It realy is a great multi purpose weapon. I own so many diferent caliburs now, the .22 is still close to my heart.

  • @MikeofWyoming

If you were a real good shot the .22 would be in your heart.

  • excuse me if im wrong so basically this 22. is like a bolt action or is

  • @TBA8o8

    Yessir, it's bolt action.

  • dont shoot a rifle dry, you'll stuff you fireing pin spring or whatever, it screws your gun over time.

  • how do you not shoot a rifle dry just wondering

  • @julsmul

you put a bullet in there.

  • no coz in cadets u haft to fire a dry round after you shoot all ur rounds so ur wrong

  • my grandpa's .22 and my dad's both eject the shells that dut mine doesnt

  • That's what happens if you dry-fire a rimfire rifle too much.

  • its never good to shoot any rifle dry

  • I have a .22 its a 15 shot semi-auto with a decent scope...love shooting it

  • the first gun you shot the shells came out how did that happen because im trying to make a .22 and i cant get it to do that

  • I enjoyed your video. I bought a single shot rifle in the 50's when I was about 14. Paid $18 for it at a hardware store. I remember walking thru the city of Wilkes Barre as I took it home. It wasn't in a box either. No Cops stopped me and no citizens were scared either. Those were different days then. I still have it. I had lots of fun with it too.

  • how could you buy that at a hardware store when you were 14

  • I swear to God it's true. The laws were very Lax in those days. There was no I.D. card needed or anything like that. I'm 66 now and I am sure if you ask somebody you know at that age, they will say I'm correct. Why would I lie about something like that? P.S. Even Hardware stores sold guns in those days.

  • @jburawski lol wtf r u doin on youtube if you're 66 years old?

  • @sk8orhateit I am trying to let you youngsters know about a different era. Also there is a Wealth of information on You Tube if you look for it. I enjoy the Old tv shows, music, war documentarys. I bet you never saw VICTORY AT SEA.. iT WON ALL KIND OF AWARDS. It's about World War ii... Search for it and let me know if you like it. You Tube isn't just for kids, us old Fogies like it too.

  • @jburawski Im 33 - and remember all you had to be was 18yo and u could go to WalMart and buy whatever Shotgun, rifle you wanted without any questions. Within the past couple years WalMart of course stopped selling guns and now requires a background check. Handguns though - have needed to have a background check and permit for quite a while now, even before I was born.

  • '50's...In 2009 18 is the new 14.

  • @jburawski wilkes barre PA?

  • oh neat. i have a rifle like that, the exact bolt mechanism, but its a small one, called a chipmunk. so it really shoots any kind of bullet, i meam, it would be pretty obvious if you look at how it works, but my dad keeps saying that we should only shoot longs.

  • id like that first .22 rifle

  • My friend has a .22 rifle its puny and ultra weak. Its more of a fun gun.

  • .22 Rifles are some of the most underrated rifles there are. It is an ideal supplement weapon to have in a survival or SHTF scenario. Ammo is plentiful, small and light weight and it is powerful enough to take down any sort of small game imaginable for food. .22s are also ideal for taking down feral dogs, Coyetes or other small prey who might endanger livestock. It is also relatively quiet and cheap compared to a .223 or .308.

  • I understand that, but as for war if you were armed with one of those you better have a hell of an aim and be able to hit in the forehead with every round.

  • id like to have either one of those

  • dude how much you pay for each gun

  • Have a Ruger myself and just bought a S&W 22a. Love your targets. What kind are they? Would love to get a set up like that.

  • wooo i dunno if those are rocks behind your target.(kinda crap quality video)

never a good idea to shoot .22's at rocks. they like to come back and bite you.

anyways sweet antique. cool that its still going 70 something years later. sure the guy that built in back in the 1930's had no idea it'd make it to 2010, but i bet he would be happy someone is still getting some fun out of it.

Nice shooting with the ruger towards the end.

  • i see you like Andy Mckee =P nice shooting btw

  • im glad no one said that .22 cant kill a person.

  • on my i can put more than one in at a time

  • dude thass not a drum its a box clip

  • Instead of being critical, why not teach. But if you teach, make sure you know what you're talking about.

It's a rotary magazine. Not a box clip.

Great vid, FogHead5058. Keep 'em coming. We all like to watch the shooting stuff ya know. ;)

  • i got that same gun the safety is when you pull back the hammer you twist it to the right

  • what kind of 22 is that, because i was given one a little while ago and cant find any information, only found a bar code.

  • u ussing the music from the drift guitar guy=P

  • Nice .22

  • i have the same gun that was at the end

  • Hey, can you tell me if the place you were shooting at was legal for you to be shooting at. Thanks, also how much did the guns cost? Nice video I see you used the music "Africa" by I forget who. Nice video again.

  • lol this was my back yard. in NH. it's leagal. haha
