  • This is simply mangificent!! Thank you so much for posting!!

  • im new to scarlatti and i like this theme at 1:56. a bit of Bachs charm there at 1:59

  • Argerichs interpretation of the first sonata is absolutely unreal...

  • fascinating - such speed and precision - wonderful man.....

  • That is a bad dude!!!

  • I noticed that Andre moves his mouth to the rhythms of the music; that's very clever.

  • @sullivans1989 He's humming and he plays so beautifully and precisely. Most of us musicians do something while playing.

  • Try this on an harpsichord.... only then you'll realize how truly "dangerous" Scarlatti is.

    :-)))

  • I can appreciate more at this speed. Check Martha Argerich's version of Scarlatti K. 141

  • @KegPatcha I agree. Argerich's performance is wayyyy toooo fast in my opinion.

  • Watts is a great pianist and has a sort of "disarming charm" meaning that he is a geniune person. He does look like a Cuban Marlon Brando.

  • beautiful sounds

  • seriously....wow

  • Sharp and clear. Wonderful!!

  • I was quite surprised he played this slower than little Benjamin Grosvenor. But for sure the notes have higher clarity.
