i've always had problem with my pinky finger slipping the handle when i'm hitting a forehand. but since u said it's a good technique in serving i'll try it later.
I already know about the loose grip technquic when i was younger, but i broke my racket because i couldn't grip the racket tight enough so now i just lower the grip to the edge of the racket butt. still holding firm, it allow me to have more racket head speed like on the vid but i don't lower as far as he does. the other thing is if you keep changing over grips it helps alot in holding the racket but its expensive.
it should work, i observed after changing my overgrip (when you use old grip you have to hold the racquet really hard so it won't go away) my serve went better. at first stage of playing tennis you don't change your grip very often or even never, but changing overgrip helps a lot, it allows you to don't hold the raquet so tight and adds more self-confidence
I am trying this out and I accidentaly threw my raquet a couple times and several people made cometns alluding to me having a 'weak wrist'. I wanted to show them how 'weak it was' by grabbing them by the throat :).
If you lower your hand on the grip, the swinging radius of your rackets also gets bigger. This means a lot more speed if you hit the ball high enough.
@nahuelita Lol i'd like to see what kind of raquet you'll have on his age. Prestige? Rebel? No nothing firm, you'll go for something that will generate more speed on its own, which is a larger maybe clumsy looking racket. Which is better at that point. Allthough you lose some control..
