i had one like this only it had a gas powered engine and something was wrong it couldnt slow down it took off even if u didnt touch controll pretty annoying lol

No never had problems with the controller ... the only problem we had was with the car pulling to the left all the time ... I think cos we crashed it 1 too many times.
