why would you take every single one? i swear morel mushrooms will be extict withing the next 5 years because people destroy the mycelium and dont leave any mushrooms to release their spores how do you expect them to reproduce?
mushrooms dont just grow out of the ground all by them selves they need the spores from other morels to start colonizing their substrate.
These morels only come around once a year. I pick mine betwween april 15 and may 15. You can not reproduce these mushrooms. This is why you can not buy them in a store. Very tasty.
if i have a littel bit of a mushroom in da wild and it had no poisonous effects does that mean i can eat the hole mushroom or could it just not be enofe to make me sick?
let the babies grow. and use a knife so you leave some of the spores in the ground. mushrooms are not as plentiful as they used to be, learn the proper way to harvest before you go out. people who pick will gladly tell you how, just not where to pick.
Morrels are very expensive to buy. I have hunted them before and it is alot like hunting easter eggs. Once you find one it is very fun. Some resaraunts pay alot of money for them also.
real shrooms taste like cardbord, try going to a cowfeild after a good rain wait about 10 hours after a good rain an look for them growing outta cow shit sound gross but some renecks showed me how an there all nonposious outta cow do-do

I found a patch of huge ones this spring. I didn't notice them till they shot out the side of my lawn mower.
