  • Hmm... Someone should write a law that would separate the church and state...

    Ron Paul 2012

  • This is awesome. He didn't respond with "I follow Jesus," he responded with "we need people of differing faiths in this country but a person of faith should lead the country." Perfect response.

  • What a complete dirt-bag that heckler is....chewing on food or what have you into the mic. I have no problem with Mitt Romney.

  • Yeah, because look how much good Christian presidents have done for this country. American policy steeped in religion has done very well in dividing the nation's people, subjugating women & minorities, & turning other countries into our enemies. However, we were so impressed by our two most secular presidents that we decided to carve their likenesses into Mount Rushmore.

  • @bencamp18 When were women being subjugated? I don't believe other countries hate us because we are Christians, I think a large section of the middle east dislikes us because we played a major role in the creation of Israel which some of the countries in the middle east felt that this land was not theirs to claim. The presidents carved in Mount Rushmore were not anti religion, to the contrary they were very religious. However, they saw that if you have a government that is perceived to be

  • @OjiveDturkeiU "When were women being subjugated? "

Oh fuck-all! Really?? Are they still teaching history in school? Do they gloss over Suzan B. Anthony and Women's Liberation?

"I don't believe other countries hate us because we are Christians"

That's not what I said. I was referring to Our foreign policy that is steeped in religion. For instance, we recreated Israel from an area already occupied by another country (Palestein). Why? Because that was a Biblical prophecy!

  • @bencamp18 No. It was because 300 million of them had just been massacred in the most brutal and disgusting genocide in the history of the planet and we figured that if they had their own country that wouldnt happen again.

FYI women were not being subjugated, they just couldnt vote. I mean, is that even that big a deal? Considering the massive percentage of the population that doesnt even vote anyways I wouldnt say they were subjugated. We didnt make them wear burkhas or anything. sheesh

  • @OjiveDturkeiU "The presidents carved in Mount Rushmore were not anti religion"

Also not what I said. I said two of them were secularist. According to historical evidence, including contemporaneous record-keepers, & direct quotes from the pens of Lincoln & Jefferson, they were at least Deist & at most Atheist. Both are legendary in their accomplishments as presidents.

As for your suggestion, here's one for you. Bend over & insert your keyboard up your smug ass, you prick.

  • @bencamp18 LOL. all 4 of them are christian. Jefferson was also a philosopher. But im a mormon and a philosopher. Being a philosopher does not make you not a christian. He wasnt a bible beating psychopath like many christians were and still are, and he didnt frequent a specific church but he definitly believed in God. So did Lincoln. Washington was a VERY DEVOUT Christian. of the four probably the most religious. Teddy was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church. a devout protestant.

  • @OjiveDturkeiU The Muslims hate us because we are not Muslim and we dont put our women in Burkas. Not because we helped israel. Hollywood is what generates their hate. They see people like Pamela Anderson and they FREAK OUT!!

  • @bencamp18 by god then it takes the power from the people and puts it in the hands of a dictator under the flag of divine. They sought to avoid that issue and our current president is taking a different route to essentially become dictator, I think you should reconsider the points you have made here and try to validate them before typing them.

  • @bencamp18 yeah, those damned religious people. They started the first truly free nation on earth, did away with slavery, created the national parks system, brought down communism and oppression, gave women the right to vote. those bastards. We should all worship the atheist presidents, like barack obama who gave us great things like debt that is bigger than our entire nationalGDP so he could bail out his corrupt coporate buddies. Its the atheists who have divided us, who spew hate. Not theists

  • @Porojukaha "damned religious people. They started the first truly free nation on earth, did away with slavery"

Do I need to point out the irony in your comment, Mr. Mormon? Does Mormonism still stand alone as the most racist Christian denomination or has the crown been stolen by some new Christian-Nazi sect? In fact, wasn't it the Mormons who said that the only way a black person could get into heaven was as a slave? For that matter, the god of the Bible seems to be at ease with slavery.

  • @bencamp18 Oh yeah we are so racist. let me enumerate our atrocities for you.

$885 million in humanitarian aid mostly to africa in the last 20 years

8000 currently serving humanitarian aid missionaries (who do not proselyte) mostly in africa

    20,000 vision surgeries in africa

400 welfare farms much of the food going to africa

1000 african communities provided with with water systems giving 1.8 million people water

3 million measles vaccinations for 200 million children in 40 african countries

  • @Porojukaha Great, so donating money to needy countries somehow makes the basic tenents of your religion not racist? "You can have this money but you're still going to hell. God bless!"

  • @bencamp18 absolutely! We do everything we can to help them. But God revealed to our prophet that they were not to have the priesthood for that time. Women to this day cannot have the priesthood. Does that make us sexist? No. God has ordained that it be this way. Hes also ordained that men cannot have babies. Does that make God sexist? No its just the way it is. Who are we to question him? Its not racist at all.

  • @Porojukaha Awesome! Get well soon!

  • @Porojukaha there are pills and therapy you can take to help you with your mental disease. You are really for that bullshit you were conditioned to believe at a young age..

  • @TheSupermanspence Im actually a convert to my religion. And you cant tell me the doctrine doesnt make sense. 80% of the people in american prisons are black. now we could blame that on the educational system and on poverty, except that in every single country in the world where there is a significant amount of black people, blacks are a majority of the prison population. Further, more atrocities and bloodshed occur in africa than in the rest of the world combined.

  • @TheSupermanspence Does that make every black person bad? no, there are tons of good black people. does that make slavery ok? No slavery was still a terrible atrocity. Should blacks be treated equally in day to day matters. Absolutely. Do they seem to as a race have a very significant moral or spiritual problem? I think theres plenty of evidence that points to that. And that is why it makes sense to me that while WE must treat them equally, God would not let them have his priesthood.

  • @TheSupermanspence unless i am quite mistaken there has only ever been one war perpetrated in the name of Christianity. None in the name of Judaism, none in the name of hunduism, none in the name of buddhism, like 5 or 6 in the name of Islam and THOUSANDS in the name of personal gain, which is a quality only Atheism consideres a virtue. Not even to mention the communist and fascist regimes that butchered IN THE NAME OF ATHEISM.

  • religion is a waste of time. Also dont you hate how you can hear that guys mouth moving and what not while he is asking his question. it sounds very gross.

  • @TheSupermanspence religion a waste of time? you realize that the worst genocides in history were all perpetrated when people did away with religion right? the Jacobins, Stalin, Hitler (he personally was an atheist), Pol Pot. And the ONLY NATION ever founded ON AND BY RELIGION is the freest nation on earth. yeah, total waste of time.

  • @Porojukaha HItler was just a crazy fuck head that was also a genious. who cares is he was atheist people kill people over religion all the time. That lady who was famous for being an atheist was murdered by people im guessing believed in god. Im not even going to look it up but i would say a vast majority of wars in the past were over religion. I just think its bullshit that people waste their maybe one and only life on something they dont know for a fact. Lack of evidence isnt evidence bt stil

  • @TheSupermanspence

It's not a waste, really, is it?

Llook at it this way. If you're going to be a nihilist and say there's no purpose, fair enough. But what if you're wrong? You could be screwed. If I'm wrong? So what, I rot in the ground.

Even Richard Dawkins says that if we didn't fight over religion, we'd fight over something. That's an athiest talking. Besides, the biggest war of history, wasn't about religion at all. Are you forgetting WWI?

And, there's lots of evidence. Look harder! ;D ha

  • @garyou19 Ok so if a religion is right what if your part of the wrong religion and go to hell anyways?? don don don.. no one knows they just pretend they do and came up with the most crazy story i have ever heard. there is no evidence.. also im talking about ancient times. i dont think a war over religion has happened in a long time..

  • @TheSupermanspence Mormonism is one of the only religions that preaches that God doesnt care at ALL what religion you are part of. You will be saved based on the sincerity of your heart. If you really try to be a good person, you will be saved. If not you wont, even if you are mormon. We believe that every person who ever lived and ever will will have an equal chance of being saved. If you dont believe that how can you believe in a Just God? Thats why i cant accept other forms of Christianity

  • @TheSupermanspence

In my religion it's practiced that I'll be saved based on the sincerity of my heart. If there's a God, he loves everyone on this earth, and even you would be saved.

No proof? PFFFT you are sorely mistaken sir. Take Mormonism for example. The ENITRE BoM is a chiasmus, and nobody knew that form of poetry well until 1940's. If the BoM was true, then the people who traditionally write chiasmus' would be Jews. Guess who suppoesdly wrote the BoM? Jews, essentially. =]

  • @TheSupermanspence You said, "Im not even going to look but i would say a vast majority of wars in the past were over religion." Well im not even going to look it up but Im going to claim that the sky is red and there are unicorns on the moon. Ill disprove you using only this century. As of yet every single major war has started because of reasons that were not religious. More people have died this century in wars than in all the previous wars combined.

  • @Porojukaha If there is a god then why does terrible shit happen every day? you can say god gave us free will but what about kids born with spina bifida? Thats someone whom received a short life and painfull death. why does shit like that happen to people on the daily? kids liike that are born all the time. Did they choose to suffer? If your god exists He is a horrible person that i refuse to worship. and what you said shows no evidence of a god. Someone did a good job brainwashing you.

  • @TheSupermanspence ah come on that one is easy. There must be opposites in all things. If darkness did not exist, neither could light and vice versa. Further, you must experience both of the opposites to be able to even notice what your experiencing. For example, if you have only ever lived in the US you can think that you are poor. But if you go to a third world country and come back, you realize that even as a poor American you live better than Agustus Ceaser in all his glory.

  • @TheSupermanspence now, we will suffer in this life, so we can know what wonderful place we are in and what wonderful things we are experiencing once we get to heaven. I know, this life seems like a long time to suffer, but compare it to eternity. Life is an insignificant blip on the screen of our vast existence. a small instant of pain is worth an eternity of joy and happiness. everyone will suffer in this life. some more than others, but in the end it all serves a grand purpose.

  • What a weirdo. Mitt Romney owned this lunatic.

  • What the...? Mormons are Christians.

  • I wish people thought like you...

  • a religious leader is a biased leader think about it most wars in history have been faught due to religious beliefs see thats the probelem with america they assume a presidential candidate must have faith here in australia we dont care about that stuff we pick whoever is best suited for the job

  • Comment removed

  • Why could an atheist not be President?

  • We should only have atheists ruling America, Religion needs to be subdued.

  • I just love when christians pretend to be atheists just to spread dishonest lying propaganda about them,

Good work CharlesVariations, we need more people like so more people can realize just what slimy and sniveling people certian christians can be.

  • the united states elected a muslim to be president and now the first family drinks nig-nog during the holidays (watermelon juice and vodka)

  • @newyorkeastside Nig nog? OMG LOL ROFLMAO hahahaha

  • That guy was an obvious liberal plant... What a foolish attempt to attack Mit Romney... I 100% agree with what he said.... Well done sir...

  • I didn't say we lived in a democracy, I said we live in a free society. At least we do for the time being.

You are judging one man as racist based on your perceived view of a group that he belongs to.

  • This man should have been the Republican nominee. He did not show offense to a personal attack. he remained calm and was able to give a concise and well thought out response to this guy.

  • Why does a person of faith need to be in office? The only difference between the heckler and romney (in a spiritual sense, at least) was that one was more extreme than the other.

  • Listen to Mitts Faith In America Speech. I'm sure it's on youtube. He explains why a person of faith needs to be in office.

  • Siskonx01,

had a look at the speech you referenced, but I disagree that freedom and religion are synonymous. In fact, I think it's something more like the opposite.

To empathize with my own view, have a think about whether Muslim countries would be better run by Muslim leaders only, and exclusively, serving the interests of the faith; or secular leaders (some of which might be muslim, christian, atheist etc) serving the country first.

  • I'm not opposed to voting for someone who may be an atheist or agnostic or something similar. But, if you happen to be religious, and you are elected to be President, then your religious views are certainly going to come into play as you make various decisions in office. The country was founded by people who had an obvious faith in God. They also believed that God had a role in the founding of the nation, so it is more than just a matter of being religious or not in your own life.

  • I think we have found common ground on this because I too, have no objection to a person of faith in office. Where I draw the line though is when those beliefs affect decision-making.

The founding fathers of the US were secularists above all, who believed in separation of church and state. Some were Christian (or denomination of), and some were not. God was not mentioned in the constitution. I find it odd that you would bring this up...

  • God is mentioned in the Declaration of Independence. But anyway, the separation of church and state was meant to prohibit the government from establishing a state religion.

If someone has strong religious beliefs, you can't expect that they would just drop that side of their mind from the Presidency. It is a part of who they are and what they believe.

  • A state religion would be a very dangerous thing. A theocracy such as Iran or Saudi Arabia... The founding fathers were wise to legislate against this.

It would be foolish to think that a religious person would not be influenced by that religious belief, as you say. My concern is that those beliefs could be taken above the state interests, for example: the pope (hypothetically) orders the destruction of the US. A catholic president might feel rather ambivalent about that.

  • About 4 minutes in to Faith in America, he talks of Church affairs remaining in the church, and promises that no church leader will have his ear when it comes to matters of America. He clearly states that where he to take the oath of office, that it would become his highest promise.

  • I think my view is comparable to (say) voting for someone with communist, fascist or other ideologies. Without debating whether these things are good or bad (which I don't think either of my examples are BTW) someone of a particular ideology, philosophy or faith will be that way inclined when it comes to decision-making. What would you expect, Siskonx01 from an openly fascist president?

  • I don't quite understand what you are saying in your message. He plainly said that he felt that there were questions about his religion that he thought were relevant to be discussed and he did that. That's what the campaigns are supposed to be all about. Here is what i believe and if you don't want to vote for me because of it, then as he said in his speech, "...then so be it."

  • We established that people make decisions based on their beliefs and other factors. The objection to Romney being president is not so much about what he believes, but in what decisions he would make based on those beliefs.

  • That's one of the great things about living in a free society. You can vote for who you think is the best candidate. You can base your decision on a variety of factors or no factos at all if you want. Mitt Romney was treated unfairly in my opinion by the media because of his religious beliefs. I voted for him in our primary election. I liked the way he carried himself and his economic views.

  • Yes, we have much more freedom than other places in the world. Voting to elect one of several people with certain views isn't democracy though, classically speaking, but that's another topic.

Romney is a member of the Mormon church; an officially racist organization pre 198(4?). I think scrutiny of that is fair game.

  • U DON'T KNO LORD LEIK I KNO LORD LOL

  • Smooth Mitt!!!!!

  • Santa and the Easter Bunny will come through?????

  • we need an athiest running the country not some superstitious religious nut

  • ..Well brace youselves...If john macain who has an aggressive form of skin cancer that CAN come back picks Romney a mormon as his VP and wins the election then we may just have a mormon a breath away from the white house after all with thopse kooky beliefs wearing his mormon "magic underwear"...

  • nothing weird about that. you would've heckled christ and his apostles when they were on earth too... the bible, mainly the old testament, have a few instances where leaders were not followers of the law of moses nor of the same faith as God's covenant people but were guided by God... your father in heaven certainly isn't a bigot and as long as the leader is morally straight and focused on God let them be!!!! i dare you to go to a mormon church... you'll feel the spirit and meet true christians

  • Mormons are arrogant, selfish, and absolutely evil. Bibles and books of faith from many true religions warn of the coming of false prophets and men who want to be as God is. There is only one true God, and no man like Joseph Smith will change that. Joseph Smith is no god, he is a demon who poisoned the minds of 12 million fools. Mormons only practice polygamy for lust. The attitudes of Mormon males toward underage females can only be described as unrestrained desires of pedophiles. Burn in hell!

  • Obviously you are misinformed or haven't actually met any from the LDS Church, not one person I have ever met has had a bad encounter with a mormon. The books of faith of the LDS Church also warn of false prophets but they also state that God still speaks, and His words are without end. Unless you have earnestly read, pondered, and prayed with a true and just heart, you wouldn't know that our religion is the truth. You're right Joseph Smith would not try to change God, he is our Heavenly Father.

  • Joseph Smith never claimed to be God, he claimed to be a Prophet OF God. As far as polygamy goes, it is not practiced this day, and unless you are the "one who communed with Jehovah" then you don't know why it was practiced in that time. "Mormon" males attitude of females is one of reverance and thankfulness. Without the female the family unit is incomplete which is contrary to the core belief of the LDS Church. Men and women both serve God in their own capacities, no one is considered "less."

  • commanderskyfire is arrogant, selfish, and absolutely evil. Bibles and books of faith from many true religions warn of the coming of false prophets and men who want to be as God is. There is only one true God, and men like Joseph Smith will not change that. Joseph Smith is no god nor demon who poisoned the minds of 12 million fools. Mormons did not practice polygamy for lust. The attitudes of Mormon males toward underage females can not be described as unrestrained desires of pedophiles.

  • Smart answer by Romney. Noticed he said we need a person of faith. Not that it had to be Mormon or Christian or whatever. He couldnt agree with the heckler and agree he was not christian.

  • GOOD FOR THAT MAN. :)

  • It just seems funny that everyone who takes on Mitt Romney is a mental midget. Does anyone else see this pattern? You got this heckler, the idiot DJ in Iowa, Rev. "I'm a Buckwild Nigro" Sharpton....'nuf said.

  • Agreed. They would be lucky if they had one brain cell firing signals.

  • It is true, Mitt Romney doesn't know god, not because he is a mormon- although mormons are a disgrace- but because his foreign policy greatly goes against Christianity. RON PAUL IS THE ONLY TRUE CHRISTIAN RUNNING FOR PRESIDENCY

  • This Whole Country was based on religious equality. Shoulden't the world share that also?

  • Exactly. All religions are all good and there are only bad people right? If you support total religious freedom you support Osama. Fuck people who continue to support religion.

  • Oh, and it fills me with hate and rage that people are looking for a Brad Pitt when it comes to someone governing our country. A bunch of celebrity, fashion, drama queens have hijacked this great country.

  • Mitt Romney should be shot; all he talks about is politically correct things: plurality of people, the need for good leadership, stopping illegals coming in- which he actually is for- and other issues that pertain to peoples fear and need for security. Ron Paul is the only man who actually has a sound economic, and social plan.

  • He doesn't have a chance of being president.

  • I want a president who is a rationalist.

I don't want a fool that believes in fairy tales.

Until then we will have idiots and dellusional men leading the country.

  • What would Jesus Christ say about the American invasion of Iraq and the killing of civilians by US troops? Adolf Hitler was a devout Christian as well.

  • Jesus would have been appalled. As Nietzsche pointed out decades ago, "The last Christian died on the cross".

  • Thumbs down for a reducto ad Hitlerum, even if I'm no fan of religion myself.

  • Romney is exactly like Bush except for his religious beliefs. We need a president that will restore the republic and end this bullshit ass war.

    RON PAUL 2008

  • Ron Paul's and virtually every Republican's fiscal plan is a joke. Getting rid of departments like the IRS, Medicare, DoE will not fix this fiscal crisis. It goes much, much deeper than simple bloated government. So far I have not heard a candidate who has a good, realistic fiscal plan.

  • Having faith in the wrong thing is of NO value. BTW: the heckler has a right to say whatever he thinks, but he has no business judging who knows the Lord JC. Speaking without love, he is just a clanging cymbal.

  • There are only 5 million mormons in the U.S. Out of those less than half actually go to church. Out of those, many will not vote for Romney (including many of my Mormon friends). So where is Romney's support coming from? NON-MORMONS...Romney is a Good man. He will be Good for this country.

  • Why do anti-Mormons ramble on and on either incoherently, rabidly, or ridiculously melodramatically? I think that the anger and bitterness of those who think that the Church of Jesus Christ is a cult is the real tell for who is posing as an "angel of light."

  • Even the devil himself poses as an angel of light..... Remember that.

  • The fact of the matter is Mitt is a honest hard working man that will manage this country well. Mormons are Christians and those who pass judgement don't practice the true gosple of Christ. Those who do pass judgement The Lord will Judge and I'm grateful I don't have to. I hope people can be more Christlike in their comments than the Muslim extremists, because that is what I'm hearing when I hear your hateful words

  • Mormons are NOT Christians.

The LDS Church is the most widely accepted cult in history. For example, Christians believe that the the virgin Mary had a divine holy birth, and Mormons believe that Elohim impregnated her. All Mormons do is misconstrue things that occurred in the Bible. The writings of the Mormons and the Bible cannot both be true.

  • I'm sorry you feel that way sir so do you think that all Mormons are going to hell along with other faiths not of your own?

  • From the KJV of the Bible that Mormons claim to believe: Joshn 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." The only way to get into heaven is by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ. Not in Joseph smith, or any other person for that matter. Only the Lord knows for certain who is going to hell and who is not, but this scripture gives us the discernment needed to see past false teachings of how to get into heaven.

  • The King James version of the bible is notoriously inaccurate, a very poor translation. No reputable biblical scholar uses it. A good source for the Old Testament is the NRSV.

  • Xerograde: I must say that the Christian faith is intolerant. By the way, science tells me that 1) The virgin mary was impregnated and 2) the writing style and diction of the bible texts are consistent with their respective time periods. Lastly, why were some texts left out of the bible, such as one penned by Mary Magdalene? Is a prostitute not loved by God? Neither writings of the Mormons or the Bible is true. BUT: believe what you want. I clearly see the line between Church and State.

  • The heckler condemned himself by his own complete lack of class and was booed as he told Romney that Romney doesn't believe in Jesus. I'd like to see what the heckler would do if someone accused him of not believing in God; I'd like to see if he takes the high road the way Romney did.

  • Ah Romney. I like his passion, his goals and the specific solutions. Like a business man. I'm more than tired of stagnant Washington. I'd happily take him and Huckabee on a joint ticket and imagine that, two former Governors, not a bad mix. (And that would be Huckabee as Vice President by the way.)

  • What if Romney becomes President and then converts to Christianity? God can do this! Would you rather have the religion of Hillary? I know Mormonism is false, but I'm still going to vote for Romney; he's a good man and could make a good President.

  • NO.

A good man would not do what Mitt did in the FL St Pete straw poll last week.

Having his campaign commit fraud by voting 30x each person??

No way would I EVER vote for Romney.

    Truly disgraceful.

  • The religion of Hillary? Is that supposed to be condescending? Anyway, who gives a shit if he is Mormon, I'm sick of all this religious intolerance and the lack of separation between Church and State. Who better to respect without bias all faiths than one with no faith? I don't care what faith my president is, as long as he leaves the religious beliefs at the door of the White House.

  • Mormons are very sincere to there faith for that they should be aplauded, but There theology and what they teach about the Person and Nature of Jesus Cgrist is as corupt as they come. The Book of Mormon is the Bait and the Pearl of Great Price and D&C are the Hook. the Jounral of Discources is the SINKER! There is Scads of passages in mormon theology that blaspheme the God of the Bible repeatedly.

  • Romney is a Cult Leader! Mormons are a False Faith just Like Sciencetology! Jospeh Smith was a Lier and Practice Black Magic! The applause was all MORMONS! Romney has no faith for he Believes in FALSE PROPHETS! FAITH in the white house! ROMNEY WILL BE THE ANTI CHRIST FOR HE WORSHIP'S THE DEVIL NOT GOD NOR CHRIST FOR ALL MORMONS ARE DAMNED FOR BELIEVING IN JOSPEH SMITH AND BRIGHAM YOUNG! ALL LIES!

  • Mormons are not bad people, they are people like me and you, if people would simply take the time to have an understanding of Mormon faith, and every other christian denomination, you'll see that there all good people, and they care! =D

  • They gave Romney a standing ovation simply because he is the best.

  • i don't support romney, but i think it's ridiculous that people even care or make a comment on his religion

i'm not religious, but i think that everyone can believe whatever they want

that's why i fucking hate christians (no offense)

they hate anyone who disagrees with them

    it's brainwashing

    the sky is empty

    the end

  • f*ck faith. its just a synonym for hatred

  • morman = cult

  • Check your math.

    Mormon = Christian

Mormon + Mormon = 3+ Mormons or so probably:)

  • not christian in any way or form, other that by a concerted p.r. and marketing move... its insidious, wolves in sheeps clothing. well, they're not fooling anyone intelligent.

  • Well, I don't have that concern, since I am not christian. I don't suscribe to any religion. I could care less if mormons are christian or not. It doesn't effect me personally. Why does it effect you so personally?

  • because of the flaw in character the belief in this sham represents. perhaps you should research more about mormons. apparently you wouldnt have a problem with a scientologist or muslim, either... until you research them, hopefully. read up.

  • All right Romney!:) I was hoping he was really Mormon underneath.

It always amazes me how bitter and mean people can be about the church.

I add my testimony with Romney.

You will know them by their fruits.

I have been a member of the church all my life, and I testify that the fruits are good.

    Peace to all:)

    Gary

  • "I was hoping he was really Mormon underneath." is that a pun? all you gotta do is check to see if he's sporting his enchanted mormon panties... i bet he's wearing them, dont you?

  • mormons are wierdos why would u be one. so lame

  • You know they used to call Christian atheists because they didn't believe in the God's of the roman empire.

Even the bible talks about how they said Christ cast out devils by the power of devils.

He also mentioned how they would say even worse things about his servants.

    Nailed it, didn't He:)

  • not at all, joey smith was no prophet. prophecies cannot be changed and altered to reflect contemporary values, like mormons have with their dogma... j smith was a confidence man and perhaps a wee bit loopy.

  • Speaking of someone leading the country being of a certain faith... every president we have had to date has been religious to one faith or another. In the past there was a huge problem when a Catholic decided to run, now there is a problem when a Mormon runs. Ignorance is what makes these problems, not the religions.

  • The heckler was right. Mormon's believe that you must get Smith's approval to enter heaven. Jesus said none can come to the Father except through me. The Bible also says there is only one God. Romney laughs at the weak things of the Lord, but he will not laugh forever.

  • Well stated.

  • People say that saying that people will eventually have to accept that Joseph Smith was really a true prophet as saying somehow that the gate still isn't Jesus. Not true.

Jesus is the Son of God, the redeemer and Mormons believe this passionately, as you can see by Romney's statement. Because we believe that eventually all truth must be accepted, doesn't change this fact.

  • "This is the only true church on the face of the earth!" E Benson. "there is no salvation without Joseph Smith" - DOS 1:189. "every man and woman must have the certificate of Joseph Smith, junior, as a passport to their entrance into the mansion where God and Christ are" - JOD 7:238.

  • Sorry, but all out of context. Check the full quote, and they are a lot less menacing.

All they are saying is that the church is true, and in the end, we must accept all truth, or we won't be true Christians in the end.

Could you reject Moses and be Christian too?:)

  • I agree Baroque1750

  • Salvatrucho213 You're right let's stick an atheist in office where he feels he has no one to answer to. World war? sure why not, not like I'll be punished for it ever. Whether god is there or not, people who believe in him fear doing bad things. Has nothing to do with bush.

  • So freaking what if Romney is Mormon? What difference does it make!!?? It's not like as soon as he's president, he's going to tax everyone extra if they don't convert. People who won't vote for Romney because of his religion are as bad as people who won't vote for Obama because he's black or Clinton because she's a woman. People who vote based on religion are ignorant fools - it's the issues that matter!

  • HELL NO!!! PERSON OF FAITH LEAD THE COUNTRY???? Is this guy nuts? We had Bush in there for 8 years and look what a fuck up he has done!

  • "Takes on"... my ass. "You don't know the lord, you're a pretender"... yeah says a guy who believes we should all be following the lead of someone who believes that we fell out of the sky.

  • Mormanism is a silly pile of poop, but Mitt still stands out as a statesman, compared to every democratic assclown running for office. I think he can handle things well enough.

  • Sorry Mitt there still people that don't fully understand the Holy Bibles teaching.

  • Yeah well my religion has murdered more innocents than yours Mr. Romney! Wooo!

Dumbass. Love his bullshit answer at the end. Last person I want running this country is someone of faith, much less a Mormon.

  • think mormons are christians? think again, search you tube for Story of Mormonism to find out more. if you thought scientologists were scary, you havent seen anything yet.

  • YOU know nothing planetfall.

  • Why do you care if mormons are christians or not? Don't we have freedom in this country to decide how we want to worship? I'm not even mormon. They can do what they want, it doesn't bother me.

  • because they are professing a falsehood. did you know that dark skinned people are evil? well, they were until they changed their dogma AGAIN. did you know that native americans are jewish? Did you know know that when you die, if you're not mormon, you will be converted so, by mormon posthumous ceremonies? pope john paul is now a mormon. hitler, too. walks like a cult, talks like a cult...

  • I am Mormon, and no dark skinned people are not evil -- that is not my belief.

Yes American Indian ancestors are considered to have been jewish (or at least Israelite).

Yes we do temple work for the dead which gives them the opportunity to accept the gospel if they choose on the other side.

Hitler is hell bound I am sure, if not a son of perdition.

As for Pope John Paul, I guess that would depend on whether we are right or not, wouldn't it:)

  • right, the book of mormon has been altered and revised repeatedly... word of god, hmmm? american natives are descendants of asians, look the the dna record. would god be that wrong? smells like false prophet, even more like con-man. why not let us choose on this side? there is no choice, you practice superstition and occult. you really think you will be a god someday? feh.

  • People in this country used to own slaves, but thank goodness that's changed. You shouldn't go around condemning all white people for what happened two centuries ago, just like you shouldn't condemn modern LDS for some misguided beliefs from the past.

All the Mormons I know are wonderful people. They love and worship Jesus Christ, so wouldn't that by definition make them Christians?

  • that was mormon doctrine, the mormon gospel truth... which became inconvenient and had to be changed... have any teachings of the christ been altered to appease contemporary sensibilities? any? smith = false prophet. what happend over 2 millenia ago still holds true today as it did then.

  • i know pagans, druids, scientologists and satanists, they are also wonderful people. sincere, nice and very friendly, their religion has nothing to do with their personality. mormons are always the first to say 'but look how nice we are' as if that has anything to do with them buying into this large scale scam.

  • "We need a man of faith to run this country" Loads of laughter that was hilarious!! I seriously can't stop laughing.

  • okay, try talking out of you mouth next time and answer his fucking question you douchebag. last thing we need is some ass who follows the redheaded stepchild of catholicism leading us.

  • becuase it isn't fucked up now, right?

you shouldn't have a religius president at all. Bush went to war partially becuase his imaginary friend told him to.

  • Mormons believe in the "Law of Eternal Progression," which posits that God was once an ordinary man who became a god, and that we will become gods also.

    OooKayyyyyyy.....

  • don't act like one religion is weird. they are all equally stupid.

  • You're exactly right; all religions are equally stupid.

  • not stupid so much, but each of them has gotten alot of shit about life and the future screwed up.

    personally I'm down right athiest.

  • Like watching nerds arguing over whether Spiderman trumps the Hulk.

  • we do not need a man of faith to run this country. we need a honest man to run this country.we need a intelligent man to run this country. But our country is sooo stupid a atheist could never win a election. so the politicians lie and tell you the are men of faith and kill in the name of Jesus and the idiots eat it up.

  • eat my nuts on this

  • so?

  • that was moderately bigoted, actually that was extremely bigoted

  • There is no god, of any kind. Magic doesn't exist.

  • Mitt is alright!

  • god bless atheism

  • Good one. ;)

  • In other words, Romney talks to an invisible man who live sin the sky. What an idiot.

  • People of faith can lead a church, not a country! People of faith used to lead monarchies; it didn't work!

  • Most of these leaders were not people of the true Christian faith. Jesus said to the Roman Pontius Pilate, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place." Matthew 18:36

  • every time he talked of posed it sounded like he was sucking a dick

  • Since when is mass manipulation considered faith??

  • "Faith" IS mass manipulation. A "person of faith to lead the country" Mitt? Obviously haven't wrapped your square head around that "separation of church and state" thingy yet. Moron Mormon.

  • there is nothing wrong with what he said.

  • Wow, in one sentence he goes from supporting freedom of religon to "we need to have people of faith leading the country." I am sick of everybody scoring cheap political points by beating down atheists.

  • I don't support Mitt Romney, but he deserves alot more respect than that.

  • hahahaha See you all at AMES! President Ron Paul will win. Vote for someone who could WIN! A vote for Ron Paul, is the ONLY vote for Liberty. Join the Revolution!! All religions, races, and ages welcome. America will show the world what Freedom is! GUN NUTS HATE ROMNEY! TAXPAYERS HATE ROMNEY! MILITARY HATE ROMNEY! ROMNEY IS RACIST!
  • i love the way he says "is god" in the beginning... it's hilarious

  • He sounds like Dan Aykroyd in the blues brothers. " We're on a mission from God"

  • I got the dunk in the the river for Lisa, the Sun and God. Voo Doo rules!

  • Hooray! Lets give Mitt Romney a standing ovation for saying a prepared talking point probably created by one of his campaign staffers!

  • ahahahahaha he actually doesnt know the lord...he is a mormon....thats a fake religion...but romney was good at not lettin all that get to him he was very cool............his last statement was right on too....romney's that is.....fake religion or not....he was on point

  • lol this is like watching a south park episode on mormonism.
